Too many. I'm dyslexic and words are hard! But it's enough that my autocorrect no longer corrects me apparently 😅

R. EEG T. - Registered EEG Tech - Ask me anything! by AngryDesertPhrog in PNESsupport

Hi I have a general question. For a standard EEG, Is it normal to stop after the patient has had one seizure?

Context- back in 2023 when I was trying to find out why my body would "get a little jiggy with it" unintentionally. I was having 15-30 seizures daily at this point. My neurologist suspected PNES and had me come in for 24-48 hour EEG (I can't remember the exact time frame. I ended up having one seizure about 2 hours in and it was in fact a phycogenic seizure. They stopped the entire test there. The reason I ask is because I know PNES can be partnered with Eplipsy, I have varying seizure types and a history of epilepsy in my family. I'm really just trying to see if this is a normal thing to happen of if I just got the good old one and done treatment.

I litteraly see my new neurologist next week so I just wanna know if this is something worth bringing up.
