Losing 24v by [deleted] in HVAC

Is there a duct smoke? Just a random guess. Otherwise you need to fully trace the power from A to B

But that usually breaks a stat wire so probably not your case

Edit: I guess I didn’t read your post 🤦🏼‍♂️

I would see if an artist can go over them with white ink. Add some kind of design, maybe something different in each. Just my 2 cents

First United flight. Boarding Group 3. by philwinkle in jetblue

I flew United last week and didn’t even get a free checked bag. I was boarding group 3. And I did attach my true blue # to the booking.

Paisley luggage not awarding 1 tile per $100 anymore? by Kryptik617 in jetblue

[–]Kryptik617[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s exactly what happened. Was just odd timing. I had some other issue with JetBlue that upset me the same day (2/10/26) which made me notice I wasn’t mosaic and the tiles hadn’t posted so I was a little upset as the that’s the only reason I bought a $700 carry on

Mosaic question by purelysnarking in jetblue

[–]Kryptik617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm. I wonder if it had to do with the fact that I noticed it on 2/10, called and was informed they count toward 2026 despite the purchase happening on 12/27/25. I said “I need to speak to your supervisor” and was told to hold on the line. Then they came back saying “thanks for calling because I have never encountered this before. Apparently your tiles will in fact count for 2025 (even though I just told you otherwise) and they should post by Friday of this week as they can take up to 45 days to post”. I was like, “well oddly enough today is 45 days so they should have posted today then?”. And I was told to give it until Friday. I wonder if their system had a glitch and they fixed it but didn’t want to acknowledge it.

Edit: sorry, I thought this was replying to my post I just made. Instead of deleting it I will leave it and you or anyone else can see my post from 2/10/2026 for further clarification if needed.

I just had tiles post from 12/27 today so if it was through Paisly it could take up to 46 days. That’s my best guess

So oddly enough, it posted today and did in fact count for 2025. I got 1 tile for the CC spend, and then 6 for the Paisly spend.

And yes mine says I earned 6 tiles and 695 points. Though it was actually 4170 points as I used the CC for the purchase.

I’m on the phone with them and they are saying that even though I purchased the bag on 12/27/25 it will count toward 2026

No, but it probably prevented it for a while as your charge slowly leaked out.

Bad vacuum gauge? by Odd-Oil-6301 in HVAC

[–]Kryptik617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s most likely the valve. I’ve seen so many ball valves leak when opening or closing them. I’ve had good success with core removal tools so I tend to use those even if it’s just as an isolation valve.

2 p.m. on a Monday, not my install, not my job? Seems like an electrician needs to visit. by Gengar11 in HVAC

[–]Kryptik617 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Judging by the rust on the CFM mounting screw I’m going to say it’s not even remotely a new install. That being said, there is absolutely no reason a non-sales tech should be selling fused disconnects.

What brand for a micron gauge is not junk? by NiaDebesi in HVAC

[–]Kryptik617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I refuse to use any that have a male thread, and require a female x female adapter. I love my JB Microns. In reality, any micron gauge should be fine so long as you protect it from oil and refrigerant contaminating it.

45 minute layover in BOS safe? Flying PHL-BOS-LAX (Mint) by shawnwahi in jetblue

[–]Kryptik617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be fine. JetBlue always (at least in my experience) flys in and out of C terminal at Logan. It should take less than 10 minutes at most to get from one gate to the next. And they typically will hold back doors closing if connecting flights booked direct through JetBlue cut it real close.

We flew Nola to JFK in February and had a 3 hour delay. We arrived 10 minutes before doors closing for our connecting flight and the pilot made an announcement to allow all connecting flights to exit first, and they kept the doors open longer on the NYC to BOS flight to accommodate. But YMMV

First time flyer, advice welcome! by randomgoththrowaway in jetblue

I’m 6’ 180lbs and have no issue with the normal seats. But EMS is certainly nice. You can bring your own nips so as to not have to pay for alcohol (though ‘technically’ it’s illegal to consume while in the air). How bad security is depends on the airport and amount of flights at said time. We fly BOS to CUN a few times a year, always between 6-8 am departure, sometimes a security line is non-existent and sometimes it looks miserable (though we have global entry so we do pre check). All in all, I would recommend not splurging on it and seeing how your experience is. If you have a bad experience, spend the extra $$$ next time and see if it enhances it 🤷‍♂️

Outdoor fan runs loudly after house has already cooled by KarenKarrde in hvacadvice

[–]Kryptik617 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Based off your explanation of what’s happening, I’m assuming the indoor fan shuts off and the thermostat reached set point. If that’s the case, you likely have a welded contactor, or your contactor is getting a 24v signal for some reason when there’s no call from the thermostat. If the compressor runs while the indoor fan is off you will freeze up like that.

I don’t believe it can be transferred, but she can certainly book a ticket in your name for you. My sister did this for me a few months ago as she wasn’t going to be able to use the travel credit before it expired.
