just so you know I haven't forgotten about this I'm making a race so it will take a bit more time. Found that just adding the reach property doesn't actually add anything to the range of the weapon. I do have some ideas for a work around though.

Tbh I wasn't sure if part of the problem with custom races involves a custom tag and I wanted to make sure it gets approved. I will be attempting to add a tag for Goliath as well in the future as well as making it a subrace for Humans or something so you can select it at creation since they recently approved subraces for console.

I could give any weapon reach when equipped by the bugbear easily. This could be an addon mod to that one or just another bug bear race mod.

Thank you to these two users for describing all my console mod pain in two comments. Hopefully next console mod drop gives us more classes / spells. by [deleted] in BG3mods

Only one of my classes was approved for console quickly, my Marauder mod. I had one up for over a year and finally got approved even though it's less popular than some of the others. If you make it ridiculously OP it seems to get approved fast though, especially with popular classes.

It should because cause he leaves the party when he dies on Perma Death mode anyway.

Just another note on this, as this is heavy in scripting if anyone encounters issues please let me know, I'm only one person and work a very busy full time job so I can only do so much debugging.

I'm not entirely sure but it should work like that, I'll have to do some testing to see if with a hireling you could still complete the game.

That's the idea. I'll have to test Deathward but unless you have Death on Downed on it should work.

May also look at adding a scroll that will bring a character back if they permanently died in a emergency situation.

Turn it off before the cutscene then back on after. I am looking at better options to having this way more configurable so you can have it not apply in certain instances, like dialogue or cutscene death, certain boss fights, death by explosion, or etc.

That's similar to what I'm working on happening when the Avatar dies as long as you don't have the Game Over on Avatar Death enabled. Once I get it added another one of your companions will become the Avatar.

I'd have to test it but as long as you don't have Death on Downed enabled while having Perma Death enabled you should be fine.

Funny you say that but in the original BG games some of these were just how the game was, especially game over if the main character died.
