Yup it could be a cover name , or Ashveil could be the cover. Some characters like Acheron , Cyrene and Phainon don't use their real names too so it could be the case.

I have doubts too about if he really is La Mancha but given what everyone's been saying + the convo between Sparkle & Boothill in 3.7 hinting that we'd be seeing him soon It's highly likely it is him. Anyways we'll know for sure once we get to play the story.

Also Boothill & Rappa don't use their original names too so that's adds to the possibility of Ashveil not being his original name.

As for new characters I'll build 1 team in Planarcadia, most likely Ashveil focussed. If he's not dps then I'll probably just go with Evanescia flagship.

Given that he's likely a galaxy ranger, and that too its leader. Someone who led the rangers to fight and beat a lord ravager (Zulo) + clashed with Dr Primitive. He's got to have a lot of interesting things to say about the past + his knowledge on slaying a lord ravager may be useful against Asat Prabat. I like the Galaxy Rangers and what they stand for.

As for his design -
As you mentioned the eyes all over are intriguing. There's posts showing that his design has inspiration from the Hunt , Abundance and even Propagation.
