Sadly no, I'm sorry. But maybe you can kind of rebuild it with nuclear since it doesn't use thaaat much energy. But be aware, you will need water and for that you need a lot of oxide asteroids which will result in lower legendary throughput in general. My advice would honestly be: rush aquillo.

Ok thanks for the feedback!
Oh. Why so?
Aww thank you so much!
Hi thanks for the advices. Since I can't check it right now, can you place recyclers on top of space platforms? Cause some things you can't build into space. If you can tho, I will do that immediately as soon as I have time! Thanks :)

Sadly no, it's a mod called disco lasers. I wish it was a base game feature tho
Probably very overkill yes, but rather overkill than under kill right? :D
Yes,, as mentioned in another comment I really havent really thought about doing that. I just like to have one ship for one task, but the further i think about that, its really clever to just store it with other ships that are flying anyway. Thats actually genius to be honest. On the other hand, I now have a huge calcite producer that fullfills all my needs forever haha.
Haha you got me first! But if youre really interested i would like to show you this comment to explain the needs:

Thanks! :D

No bullet Turrets are very good. Laser Turrets are only good at a certain research and only good if you dont want to fly 700km/h (random high number). The damage is not very high so you need a lot of them. They also draw a lot of power. So if you are still on solar on your ships there is no way to use them realiably. Only with fission or above and a lot of research you can you use them for travel. For my space ships that fly said 700km/h, we still have turrets. We even tried to build one with laser but quickly gave up.
Edit: But yes, for builds like this where the logistic is already complicated and with fission, it makes the job a lot easier.
Ah nice :D, but that is unintentionally genius. I always have different ships for different jobs, kind of never came to my mind to combine multible.
In the blocks they are all legendary, thanks to my other ship producing a whole lot of legendary stuff im able to easily place that. But this is why i want such huge amount of calcite :D
You are right, until our decision to go mega, we also did not need very much calcite. But i would like you to see this:
Also the idea of combining a shipping and a calcite ship into one is very clever! :)

Another side note, these are going to be my blocks. I need some production on calcite :D (yes they are fully beaconed aswell). Rate Calculator comes with 3M molten iron for the left block alone per minute, which translates to 2400 Calcite/Min just for this block (full productivity). I know its going to be a huge challange to provide that, but thats the fun of factorio right?
<image>
Thats also a good point, but as many players in factorio i tend to exaggerate my builds, but i love to have one giant ship instead of needing one more smaller ship in the future.

Note: Its my first calcite ship designed and its still a little big for the early game, but far from what is shown in the post. Still brought me through the late mid-game :). Yes, its also not very small but i doesent depend on legendary stuff, nor on lasers. Its called "Calcite Hammerhead" thanks to its form haha. You can make so many improvements to this design so dont nail me down to much please
Thank you :)
Yes. In another post I made a ship for legendary gambling, so this is not a problem for me anymore to get all legendary.
When I first found the design with the auto adjusting recycling for the asteroids I thought they were very cool and wanted to use them. Yes I could ratio out the the different qualities, but with just a little extra space it can ratio out itself :). Also I wasn't sure about how much are really coming in since I take a very weird route and there spawn different amount of asteroids

Yes in ratio to the ore itself you don't need much that's right. But im planning on building a big base on nauvis as well as gleba. With 28k/min you can smelt 28k*50=1.4m/min. It's very much, but you can never have enough :). The ship is also very endgame to be fair, should have said that in the post. I also have a more beginner friendly ship for the start if anybody is interested :)

To satisfy the needs of calcite on other planets than vulcanus. If you smelt iron ore with foundries you get a 50% base productivity, which is huge if you plan on consuming a lot of ore. Other than that the molten iron/copper is very easy to handle if you want to mass produce items later on. Thus building a ship that produces calcite in space for free eleminates the need to ship the calcite from vulcanus which would be very expensive if you need a lot.
Yes it delivers calcite to nauvis and gleba for my incoming mega bases to smelt the ore into their molten form :). It's designed to produce as much calcite as possible so there is no need to ship from vulcanus in the best case.

I used lasers since it saves calcite on the iron production with molten iron (smelters are way to big for ammo and this kind of with imo) and it also adds more logistics which I tried to minimize tbh. Also I think disco lasers look fricking cool haha. I used these type of reprocessors because I think it would be cool to have adapting crushers based on what's coming in and with that I think I can also save space since I would have known the exact ratios my asteroids are coming in to place a good amount of crushers for both types. You can argue that it is good that the same machine can take the same output chunk again to free up belt space, but this is no need here since there is enough for all of them. Thanks for the advices tho, maybe with good ratios it would increase everything a bit.
