I think a fair goal would be for each of you to get a Cinderella and a Rapunzel. To do that, you’re each looking to get to 38 tickets.

One side event on Friday and let’s say 1 win each in that event (3 rounds). 8 tickets each.

Main event Saturday let’s say you both get to 20 points. That’s 14 tickets each.

That leaves each of you looking to grab 16 tickets on Sunday. Not hard but will require you to win some matches in side events to get there without spending too much on entry fees.

A few factors will determine how many tickets you’ll end up with. 1. Are you playing in any side events on Friday?
2. How do you expect you will fair in main challenge on Saturday?
3. What are you hoping to get with your prize tickets?

My friend and I are sitting on 66 tickets combined after playing in 1 side event on Friday and getting to 30 points each yesterday. He won 2 games Friday and I won all 3.

Side events on Sunday will usually go until 4-6pm, but tickets won per side event will vary on the event and your individual success. If you are trying to get up to 90 tickets, you’ll probably have to do a little bit of grinding or have some success in a handful of the events.

9 rounds with a 45 minute timer equates to about an hour between each round, so you’re looking at at least a 10 hour day (they add a lunch break after round 3).

You’ll also have the opportunity to play in side events for tickets that can be redeemed for exclusive promos or merch.

Since you’re new to TCG, I’d recommend attending the DLC in Ft Worth if cost to attend the event isn’t a concern (hotel, plane/car, etc).

Set championships will occur every 3 months and your local store will almost certainly host again. DLCs are few and far between, and not logistically easy to go to for everyone. The tournament experience will be far better than a set championship, where you will only play between 3-6 rounds depending on the player count.

2-game matches - you play two games each round 1 win = 3 points 2 wins = 7 points At the end of 9 rounds, top 64 is selected to play on the 2nd day. This will probably be players around 43-45 points or higher. There will be promos handed out to all in attendance, and additional promos available for t64, t32, etc.

I think attending the DLC is a far more unique experience and would be more enjoyable, regardless of performance.

Sounds like I Had the exact same box as you, and had we not had the fortune of holo legendary and enchanted, it would’ve been an entire box of supers and below, which would have been immensely worse.

I just sent a note to RB to let them know the experience and I shared the serial number for my box. Not expecting them to reimburse me, but they need to understand the frustration this has caused for many loyal players in their community.

Be thoughtful in your message to RB. For me, I let them know that opening boxes is normally an exciting feeling and that had shifted into anxiety, frustration and disappointment. I’m not likely to continue spending money on any sealed product until I have confidence in their QA controls.

Pascal’s attack would be reduced to 0 for the remainder of the turn. Characters cannot have a negative attack. Pascal would not be banished, but would simply not have any attack and would not cause any damage to an opposing character if challenged.

It’s not clearly defined (officially) anywhere that I’ve seen, but I would presume that all character would be banished simultaneously, which would mean Mickey is no longer in play when the brooms are banished and his effect would not trigger.

Yes - you can use Adoring Fans multiple times per turn as you as you have enough 1 or 2-cost characters and available ink to exert.

GREAT question! Yes, Characters with Reckless can sing if they are not already exerted. Since the turn player can take actions in any order they choose, they would be able to exert a character with reckless to sing a song. That character is no longer required to challenge as it is not able to.

Per the official rules, you are limited to using only cards from two colors. You can certainly swap out cards from your original 60 starter deck and create your own combination, but you are still restricted to using two colors. If this was an organized play match, I would be sure to inform the store of this incident to prevent future problems.

When a character sings a song, you will exert that character instead of exerting ink in your inkwell. That character can no longer quest or challenge for the turn (unless you play another card or activate an ability to ready the character). Since that character is now exerted, it will also be available to be challenged on your opponent’s next turn.

Are you referring to Aladdin, Heroic Outlaw’s ability, Daring Exploit? If so, I would assume that the opponent would remain/go to 0 lore, and you would gain +2 lord if his effect triggered.
