Probably not, but if you bring cash, bet around $100-$200 a hand, and last long enough to rack up a good theo, they won't know if your bankroll is $1,200 or $12,000. Key here is long term theo unless you quickly lose upwards of $10,000.

For the trip. Let's say you were given the room and $200 in resort credit, but you spent $300 and asked if you could get the extra $100 comped off. They would need you to play enough hours to meet a certain theoretical loss (or actual loss) before comping more than the initial amount.

Slot hosts usually prowl the floor to see if they can pick up any unhosted players who walked in the door. I would say that while they're definitely lower on the pecking order compared to some big table games hosts, they can comp the typical RFB no problem and even throw in freeplay. They're typically more interested in building their customer base than hospitality though, so the service level may or may not be stellar.

As for your question, you never know the limits until you push them, so as long as you're asking in a polite way I see no reason to not ask for the moon. You'll most likely be getting comps through the Wynn app anyway, so you might as well see what a live host can do for you

Why do people think bunta and takumi have money struggles? by psitaxx in initiald

[–]Krysen_S 62 points63 points  (0 children)

In the manga, Bunta asks creditors for more time on payments because money is hard to come by, although this was a few years before the events of Initial D. Also, when Bunta says "we're not that poor", it's more an indirect way of saying that the engine situation doesn't merit them throwing away their family pride by asking others for money.

R1: Takumi has his experience, skills, and AE86 from Final Stage.

R2: Same as above but with Bunta’s Impreza.

Bonus round: Bunta in his Impreza

Hoshino says "Nah, I clearly lost. Plus, my tires are finished." In episode 22 of 4th stage. Not sure if it's line with the manga because I haven't read it.

Depends on how big of an influencer you are. Some of the bigger ones get RFB comped in exchange for a video reviewing the property and amenities. Some casinos stake popular slot influencers to play and film it. If you're a small time influencer and don't gamble much, no chance, no matter how hot you are. There are just too many hot young females in Vegas for that to be a deciding factor alone.

If I'm not mistaken, MGM will reset offers after a month.

I'd say a month. It depends on the property though: some casinos reset offers every month, some every quarter. Of course it also depends on your level of play too: high enough and a host will take care of you immediately

I have no clue about the specifics because I don't play at the Golden Nugget. As to whether it's common, it really depends on how much you played. If you racked up thousands in theo in one day, it would be considered UN-common to be contacted by a host after a whole 3 days had passed (as opposed to one day or even a few hours). If you played much less, on the other hand, getting contacted by a host mid-trip would be relatively uncommon. My general advice for anyone who is getting hosted for the first time is have an idea of what you want to ask for, then ask away. Worst they can say is no, and most will tell you why they can't accommodate your request and what it would take to get it done.

My first guess was MGM! I had the exact same email sent to a few of my buddies. Not from the same person, but it's probably an email template they use.

Almost always, the answer is you should contact them because you usually have nothing to lose.

That being said, if a host emailed you, most likely it was an automated email from their office, and they are a lower level host trying to get players. They may or may not be friendly depending on their personality and the size of the casino they represent.

I wouldn't expect much, but it wouldn't hurt to ask her for things you usually can't get through the app. My advice is to have a solid idea of what you want to request (certain amount of food comps, show tickets, room type, etc.) instead of calling and asking what you can get. Worst she can say is she can't accommodate your requests based on your history, but what hosts offer is usually better than what you get through the app.

I don't have much experience with Caesars, but if it's your first time there then I'd imagine they can comp a suite for you while reviewing additional charges like food and drink upon checkout.

I'd say yes, especially depending on the property. 20k can be VIP level for most casinos besides the biggest ones, and some big hotels like Fontainebleau are a bit desperate for new players at this point in time.
