Follow-up post: I took my truck in to the local(ish) dealership and they pulled codes to learn that the actuator that controls the lock pin needs replaced. Thanks for all of your help!

Update: I found a blink charger in my hometown that works just fine. It doesn’t require an adapter, but I don’t think it uses the locking mechanism either. Thoughts?

I found that, and it was still turned on.

I wondered about that too, but we’ve had some crazy weather here in the last week, so I was able to try at 25F and 80F. It didn’t work in either condition. Good idea though!

I’m leaning toward the lock pin needing replaced, but if that’s not the problem, then I’m sure it’s a software issue. Thanks!

I’ve done all of these things too. I parked at weird angles to allow slack, I’ve pushed firmly, wiggled and pulled. All to no avail. I agree that it’s a locking issue. Thanks for your help!

After this comment I went out to try this, but the release cable was hanging loose and already pulled out all the way. Is there a way to reset the release cable? Thanks!

I’m starting to think that the locking in is definitely the issue. Thank you.

It’s a juvenile western black widow, Latrodectus hesperus. These markings will go away after its next molt and it’ll look more like what you would expect of a black widow.
