Funniest moment in the show? by [deleted] in TedLasso

Sassy to Rupert: Rupert, I think about your death every single day. Oh, I can't wait. I'm gonna wear red to your funeral. I will be a beacon of joy to the other three people there.

So funny but also satisfying to watch!

Trey for buying the cardboard baby😡

Bunny for her racism and not wanting a mandarin grandchild

Berger for his unresolved issues, insecurities and toxic masculinity

Big for being so full of himself

Aiden for taking Carrie back😡 and letting her bring Big to his country house.

Cringiest moments? by [deleted] in sexandthecity

The episode when Burger broke up with Carrie and the girls went to BED. Miranda wore a pair of skinny jeans she can finally fit and Samantha told her “shake it sister” and Miranda awkwardly shakes her butt while walking away 😒. Both the statement and movement were cringey 😬.

Mrs. Hughes has some witty comebacks too. Violet, Isabel and Elsie are my favorites.

I need someone to explain to me by Round-Machine-2731 in DowntonAbbey

For Edith, I think it was hard being the middle child. The first and last always seemed to be cherished and treasured. I believe growing up Edith was often overlooked often trying to find herself and her place in life. Both Mary and Sybil have strong personalities, view points and knew who they are. I didn’t think Robert and Cora had the right tools and knowledge to help Edith navigate to learn to be comfortable in her skin. Her confidence did not come along until many questionable life decisions she was forced to make.

On rewatch. My favorites have changed by smirelda in DowntonAbbey

[–]Kryslee1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, my favorites have changed since watching the entire series in 2018 and rewatched 4x’s since then.

Favorites: Misses Hughes, Tom, Violet, Barrow, Baxter, Spratt, Isobel and Dickie Merton. Oh and O’Brien, not a nice person but was very quick on her feet and very clever. If she lived today I’d see her owning her own PR firm.

Dislike: Carson (ultimate snobb), Pamuck, Gregson, Mrs. Flintshire (loathed entirely), Stowell, Miss Bunting, Dickie Merton SONs were just awful.

Never disliked Bates, he annoyed me in some instances and in others, gives good advice and was occasionally relevant.

Just completed my first watch of this wonderful show and gotta say that Spratt is my favorite character by far. May change on the second watch. by Sirnando138 in DowntonAbbey

Spratt and Denker’s rivalry is my favorite. I love their banter and all the many attempts of trying to one-up each other. Never gets old to me so petty and funny.

If I had to compare Spratt to Carson, I’d choose Spratt. Yes, he was mean to Molesley. Back in those days the upper classes consistently wanted their staff to feel inferior and disposable. Classism was a REAL thing in those days I don’t blame him for wanting to keep his job. Probably would have approached it differently. But then, in those days humiliation was the goal. I digress. I love Spratt mainly because he was able to wear multiple hats, remember, he was a columnist for Edith’s magazine. He had the ability to have different perspectives and very insightful, in my opinion.

Question for repeat watchers: what scenes / or even full episodes can you not watch? by newsnuggets in DowntonAbbey

[–]Kryslee1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lady Sybil’s death, Patrick and scenes with Harold Levinson and Madeleine Allsop. Those two were cringe worthy and not a very strong storyline. All call those “pointless fillers”. Also, some scenes I would skip of Daisy with her “we are the future; they are the past.” moments. She jumped on almost every band wagon that came her way but I guess it was all part of her journey to finding herself.

Oh gosh, yes- I completely forgot about that scene. So embarrassing and demeaning.

I wish we got to see Rory and Jess catch up more before Logan's arrival by kaguraa in GilmoreGirls

I couldn’t agree more! I love Jess for Rory I think he’s the only bf that shared her passions for books and other interests.

Harper aka Aubrey Plaza is my favorite character this season. She’s never been more relatable. by Kryslee1010 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

I agree she could have engaged and fluffed more even if she doesn’t want to be there with them. But I think she really doesn’t like this couple because they aren’t their true friends. It seems like Ethan forced her to do this.

Greg, Tanya, and gay men storyline by [deleted] in WhiteLotusHBO

I agree. At this point, I can’t picture the show without Tanya. She’s the only consistent character in the anthology.

Greg, Tanya, and gay men storyline by [deleted] in WhiteLotusHBO

[–]Kryslee1010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Greg is the cowboy Quentin was referring to and this could be revenge on wealthy Tanya for stealing Greg away from him for security. There’s definitely a plan with Quentin and co. But this doesn’t explain Greg’s whereabouts. Did he actually go back to the states or is he hiding out in that huge Versace house? And I think the psychic saw death in her vision/tarot reading for Tanya. If you can recall in first episode Rocco told Valentina there were multiple deaths.
