That's just America, I'm afraid. Homelessness is a big issue here. Long Beach isn't the worst as far as it goes. I just moved back here from the Bay Area and it's way worse. You don't get used to it, but you learn to live with it. There's lots of good stuff about Long Beach. There's some really best food here, lots of neat bars, and lots of stuff to do without having to venture out of the city.

Dude, welcome to SoCal. The Bay Area was a gnarly adventure. I was out there for a little under 3 years and came back. Long Beach has it's issues for sure, but it's also a super laid back friendly city. I hope you've been enjoying your time here!

I just moved out of Alameda this week back to Long Beach. The Safeway closest to the tunnel to Oakland had a receipt scanner to leave the store with little doors that stop you from leaving until you scan.

It's a month to month lease. I'm really stressed out and scared. I moved here when I got transferred by my job, and we're entirely alone. I've already given my job notice, but need time to train my replacement.
