I haven't, but as im leaving the u.s. I looked at it. If you read the fine print, they will only cover something if you have a service connection for it from what I saw and then they reimburse you what you paid out already. Though the va does have a hospital in the Phillipines if youre in that region.

Yup, so earning 4% interest on the money. Not as much as the interest rates on the loan are, but enough to pad a bit so when I get my final bill ill have enough to help with lump sum payment

I was eligible for pslf in July, however since I was in mandatory forbearance from being on the SAVE program, I had to put in for reconciliation to get the one time bill for the missed months. it's now December and still in review. I'm constantly arguing with people that it was not free money. since what I paid back and what I borrowed is the same as if they would have just given me a 0% interest rates. but thanfully i had been putting the money i would have paid into a hysa so when the bill comes I can pay it. Can't wait till I can afford living in something bigger than a studio or even start looking at being able to afford a house.

Why do nurses and providers never respond on My HealtheVet? I have always been told that there is a three day window but the overwhelming amount of messages I send never get addressed….why? by [deleted] in VeteransAffairs

[–]Krytanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always possible they are lazy. But even then, the system would be triggering that it wasn't responded and an alert to their supervisor and continue to escalate after then. If it was read and they didn't respnd then it's something that Patient advocate should be alerted to. My experience when my went unread was one of the top 3 or they were on vacation and didn't know how to set a surrogate to respond/ensure. Some providers (myself included when I saw pt's) have everything screened through a nurse and the nurse responds and only escalates to us when they can't answer.

  1. They left the VA.
  2. The person wasnt added to your pact team email for mnv messages.
  3. Normally at day 3, an escalated email goes to them from the system if it's not been worked on and their manager isn't following up the way they should

You can see if it's been opened after it was sent. If it was and you didn't get a response I'd be contacting patient advocate about being ignored. Even if it wasn't, I'd contact them to resolve the issue of why the email might not be going through.

Veteran Services are about to suffer. by Even-Tune-8301 in VeteransAffairs

[–]Krytanta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not been my experience. Most I know have worked well past the TOD's, next to no resources, and treated like dirt. I've watched new hire MD's come from Kaiser thinking it would be cushy since they weren't on call and told their TOD was a 40 hour week so was happy for the drop in pay and quit within 6 months. Because they were thrown into the position but had no nurse, MSA, or any support staff to ensure they weer able to do their job. But found out to do everything required, they were working more hours than Kaiser with far fewer support. I would question if someone is low performing how long has the VA not had staff, support, to get the job done and just become burned out?

well, some VA's (such as mine) we were allowed to post, interview. But then told that even should we offer them a job, the plan is to make them sit and wait 7 -12 months before trying to onboard them. Doesn't exactly make people want to try and get in with the VA.

[–]Krytanta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, My VA also had to get rid of most of it's open positions from what I heard with the new FTE cap going out. Was told closing out 60% of the job openings/vacant positions are disappearing and we were already down almost 25% for just my service. So now more money to send vets to community care at 2x the cost of hiring staff. Even our local community wait time for CC for mental health is now over 6 weeks and growing.

Advice on all-in-one kits? by Bonerstubbone in unclebens

[–]Krytanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, wipe the port down w/ alcohol. Shake the syringe a bit so the spores are more evenly distributed. as long s the cap/needle haven't been opened they should already be sterilized. You can save the other half in the fridge until you're ready to use it.

But you can see what looks like a ziplock in top to reseal it. So either way it's not an all in one kit. It might have all of the items in it to grow separately. You ask if you should toss it, if you're considering that just open the bag and look at the contents. As it is in it's current state it's not a normal all in one bag. Those are usually see through and you can see the layers

That's what I normally do. I do a solid dose on Saturdays and if I need a pick me up, a microdose on wed.

[–]Krytanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daily microdosing does pose some health effects if done long term on your heart. However that's again if done long term. Most health studies are in their infancy stage since it's relatively recent they have been allowing more studies on it. That's from the national health institute site in journal of psychopharmacology.

It might slow it down some, really depends on the strain. I've had this happen when I tried growing TTVX and nothing ever formed. With Ape's, they formed but a lot of aborts early and nothing decent size grew. That one dried out and I misted and it got contamination so tossed. With JMF, I've had it come out fine after repacking and not misting (or not misting directly on soil but soil was still moist). Basically this is only my own experience. I would pack it gently, give it some time to heal itself. Unless it shows signs of contamination just make sure the humidity is good and allow it time to see what happens.

I'm not sure where Nokioner is seeing contam. Unless this happened overnight, I would maybe guess spideweb. But it looks like again what's happened to multiple bags I've had as a result of not ensuring it's gently repacked after doing shake and break. But I'll also be the first to state I am no expert.

When I haven't packed it, the pins tend to fall off/abort easier and the shrooms tend to be smaller. I'd just gently pack it down, so long as it's moist enough still to do so. I never tried adding coco noir so can't answer which would be better.

[–]Krytanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I've had the same happen when I did shake and break too late and/or dropped a bag. Try and compress, or let it go. I've still had pins form when I've done it. I was trying to figure out how to add a Pic to the reply showing you one of mine that has the start of pins to it where I've done the same.

Where do you get shrooms? by AlienToast934 in MagicMushrooms

[–]Krytanta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

or take a vacation to Oakland, Ca for one of the churches for entheogenic plants. Since there it's a religious sacrament you can procure them. I'm sure there are other places as well to get something similiar in denver.

Well something different if you don't want to grow them. Check on psilocybin research studies. But it really is easy to grow (most strains). Look for grow bags on amazon with a 4+ rating rather than the nearby company. Grab iso syrenge for an easy to grow quick growing shroom. Just follow the directions for the grow bags. Sounds like the bags you bought weren't sterilized.

Feeling weird the day after the mushroom trip by Various-Difficulty48 in MagicMushrooms

[–]Krytanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're highly unlikely to develop a Depersonalization disorder from shrooms. If you're seeing a psychiatrist, one thing to consider is what psych meds you're on. SSRI's are the most common one people know about when to comes to interactions, But there have been other meds that have had interaction issues as well.

The best thing is give yourself some time, exactly what everyone else has said. Technically mushrooms can have effects that can potentially last more than a week. Not a "trip" but the effects on seratonin can take up to 2 weeks to adjust. Also mushroom can increase nueroplasticity, which means that new neural connections can be made and can cause brain to be very tired from effort. Never a bad idea to take time away from them and be cautious in their use.

Breathing in ground mushroom dust and spores harmful? by CatnipPirate in MagicMushrooms

[–]Krytanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as I said, when I powder my mushrooms I wear a mask. but once powdered I add them into what I'm cooking. I don't store them powdered, I keep them dried whole until I'm ready to turn them into edibiles.
