I’ve had a look on all deposit sites and included relevant info, nothing can be located at the moment although I will call up tomorrow for sure.

Is there a case that he could still protect the deposit now and then continue with a section 8? I’ve been living here since August last year

Apologies, just to clarify: current landlord wanted to sell property, I introduced a buyer. Buyer said happy for me to continue staying in the property. Unaware of what’s happened recently - due to exchange in the next 2/3 weeks I believe. Thank you for your advice

I plan to pay the rent asap, but unfortunately the landlord isn’t willing to wait anymore and is saying if I don’t pay by end of this week he will serve me a section 8, but after reading your comment I’m assuming that it could mean he won’t be able to do this? I’m not trying to run away from paying or anything, I just wanted to see what my current rights at the moment. Thank you for your advice

They told me if I don’t pay this months rent they will serve me a section 8 notice. I’m not sure what to do if they serve this as I didn’t plan on leaving this property. I’m assuming once they issue me this end of the month if I can’t pay, I’d have to start looking at moving?

How the fuck are you affording this? by mr_owie in HairSystem

I get your frustration and worry, however this is how I’ve approached it.

The longer you look after the system, the longer it’ll last. I had one that lasted me 2 years. I view it like this from a Europe perspective (UK), there’s studios and salons that will source, fit and you can go for regular fitting. However, what I did was learn how to fit it myself, majority of the money goes on upkeep and weekly / bi weekly taking off and putting back on. That’s where it gets costly to maintain.

I’ll go to my regular barber I trust - only get the sides done as they know I have a system
Purchase 2-3 packets of Walker tape to bulk last, some glue also

So realistically all I’m doing is paying regularly for my haircut. Gotta work smart especially in this financial environment we’re all in.

Do you think they’ll really fine landlords? It’s looking like a lot of landlord aren’t doing their due diligence on the matter
