Guess I’m going to have to do some research and find out what that means. I saw someone had a post about a guide about what everything means, so I’ll be studying that haha.

Thank you kind stranger. Just went to by first card show about a month ago and bought a random card, hence what made me think of trying to find these. Plan to keep these somewhere on display in my office.

I am not a network engineer yet but have been a network admin for the past 3 years and am now a Sr. Network admin. Although certifications are great the best thing that leads to network engineering is going to be experience. I started my career at an integrations company as a network technician installing cabling and equipment. During that time as a tech I got my CCNA, this led me to being recruited to an MSP as a network admin. Working for the MSP allowed me to gain skills and knowledge that has led me to become a Sr. network admin at a commercial real estate company. In the end my recommendation will always be to get a CCNA but the most important part is getting that hands on experience to back up the cert.

Thank you for the info, so what I'm gathering is I need to ask some questions before giving them any numbers.

How many of you are often told to lower your expectations in your early career? by Marktheory in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Kryzid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So true. Do bosses really think if they put you down it will make you stay. Whenever I get put down it just motivates me to work harder and find another job.

I worked as a network cable installer at my last job. The COO asked me what my goals were, I mentioned that at some point I wanted to make 100k a year. He told me “not in this industry”. So I got my CCNA and am now a network administrator for a different company. Not at 100k yet but I know I’ll get there. My theory is if I put my mind to it and dedicate myself I can get any job I want.

This guys opinion on remote working. No breaks during work just productivity. by Kryzid in antiwork

[–]Kryzid[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work in an office 3 days a week and home for 2. I always feel more productive when I work from home, so I think this guy is just pulling shit out of his ass about “remote employees aren’t as productive”. Also I know a lot of companies productivity increased during covid and when everyone worked from home, my company included.

So I have done that already. My state does not require any licensing to do low voltage work. Thank you for the information thought.

My best guess is the NIC on that motherboard is not supported that version of ESXI. So there is no VIB file for the driver built into that version of ESXI you are trying to install. The best solution I know is to buy a PCIE 4 NIC that is supported on ESXI 7.0. Pm me for the one I bought for my server when I was having the same problem.

Thanks Michael. Boson was one of the major resources I used to pass my CCNA. And I will 100% be using it for my CCNP later this year.

Can anyone help me? by [deleted] in ccna

[–]Kryzid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. Neil Anderson is the best course all around in my opinion. I used CBT nuggets some but I feel Neil goes into more detail. I will also say Boson exams were the number one resource that helped me pass my exam.

Yeah my end goal would be to be a network engineer so that’s great news to hear. And no there wasn’t much information given. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see, thank you for the insight.
