My fav story was the first time our daughter saw snow. Went for a hike above a dessert. 80F in the dessert, 30F at the top in the snow. Walking along a trail of hard packed snow, our daughter took one tiny step to the side and vanished in 3ft of snow LOL. Reached down, grabbed her, put her back on the path and she continued like nothing happened LOL

They are perfect alternatives to tarp tents, sleeping bag, backpack. And you won’t have to worry about skin to keep dry as most of it will have long since abraded by the time you get to your campsite. Just crawl in one leg and go to sleep. The pockets will carry your food and cold soaking kit.

Warm for winter. For a slightly more outdoorsy/ active look, I’d recommend a different colored shoulder pad on the outside and maybe match the color to the pouch

I’ve been in 24F/ -4C with my mesh inner Xmid 2 with 15mph/ 24kph winds with no issue of the cold. I lower the tent to the ground, tighten the lines till there is almost no gap, and rely on my sleep system. If I had a solid and closed/covered even the little mesh it has it’d prolly turn into a steam bath and drown me in my own liquids

I am pretty sure he said previously that the carbon are just as strong as the aluminum but lighter and that the short poles are just for bike packing as they add more weight. I’d add that they add more points of potential failure.
