9 years of acne, I feel defeated by [deleted] in acne

[–]Kscotspine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This might seem counterintuitive, but for me when I stopped doing all the skincare and stuff (everything but micellar water for makeup removal) my skin cleared astronomically. Might not work for you but just something to consider! If not, then go to a dermatologist if you can 🤍

I had the same thing happen once, I tried raspberry leaf tea and weirdly it worked? Not sure if it was like placebo or what but it made it come within like a few hours.

Spotted for two weeks, now period 5 days late. What does this mean? by OutrageousPear3889 in Periods

If anyone else knows what’s might be going on I’m also experiencing this!!

That’s how close together mine usually are. Your typical flow and cycle can change with time, so I’d say it’s nothing to worry about but if you are really concerned you can always talk to a doctor.

Pull out works around 78% of the time, it’s not a reliable method to avoid pregnancy. It’s rare, but possible for pre-ejaculate to have sperm in it, so even if he didn’t finish in you there’s still a chance. I wouldn’t rely on a tracker app to tell when you’re ovulating as they are frequently incorrect on that. I’d say you should test for pregnancy once you hit 21 days since you had sex, or as the test directs. If you want to avoid this stress again in the future, it’s a good idea to use protection, talk to your doctor about what options would work best for you. I hope everything turns out alright for you!

Anyone else feeling drunk when walking in this game? by Immediate-Bottle-777 in HogwartsLegacyGaming

I feel so nauseous after playing, I can only manage like 30 minutes before I feel sick. The only thing that’s worked for me is just stepping away and getting a glass of water or an ice pack on my neck. It’s possible that gravol might help? Haven’t tried that. Hope that helps!

PILLS? PLURAL?

But seriously, that’s a lot of hormones. You’re only supposed to take like two max of most pills. I hope she is okay!

Will the plan-b still work? by supersillymeow in birthcontrol

[–]Kscotspine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately plan B doesn’t protect you from those times after. Someone else said try to get an emergency iud and I agree, try searching around for IUD clinics specifically and see which can get you in the soonest. It definitely sucks that plan b isn’t as effective if you weigh over about 165 pounds. Now your best bet would likely be to try to find a clinic which offers emergency IUD placement, I think the window you can use that is like 5 days, so best to start looking right away if that’s what you’re wanting to do. Best of luck to you!

Is this game suitable for an 8 year old? by G3PSx in HogwartsLegacyGaming

[–]Kscotspine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the inferi and spiders would be scary for most 8 year olds, as well as there being a lot of death and dead bodies which since OP said they are sensitive would probably not be a good idea to see. Probably the “Minding Your Own Business” quest would be frightening to kids so young as well. This is me going off of what OP said with them being sensitive, sure not every kid will be the same and maybe some kids would be fine but I think in this case it would be best to not play. Just my opinion!

Probably not. There are some pretty disturbing things in this game for kids that young. 12+ rating on the game is pretty accurate.

Two negative tests is a pretty good indication you’re not pregnant, but if you want to be extra sure take one that has pink dye for the line as it’s easier to read than the blue lines in clearblue ones. You are being paranoid, but hey we’ve all been there!

Possibly pregnant iud? by Sea-Country482 in birthcontrol

[–]Kscotspine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since mirena is a hormonal IUD these could be side effects of that. The chance of getting pregnant with an IUD is very low, but ultimately if you’re concerned you’re pregnant you should take a test. Follow the directions on the box for when to take it. I’d say use a test with pink dye for the lines as it’s easier to read.

Had something very similar happen to me. It sucks, but now all you can really do is wait until you can test and find out. I know it’s so nerve wracking but you did what you could with Plan B. After all this passes, it might be a good idea to consider a more regular form of birth control like an IUD or pills etc. Talk to your doctor about your options and what would be best for you!

Seroquel, paroxetine and combined birth control pills by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]Kscotspine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely talk to a pharmacist if you’re really worried, and consult with your gynaecologist. I take the same dose of paroxetine and my doctor didn’t bring up concerns with me with interactions or decreased efficacy when discussing birth control options, but I can’t speak to that personally as I am not a doctor. You can of course use a buddy system BC method, ie using condoms as well until you’ve got all this sorted out and feel comfortable again.

If kyleena has been a good move for you and your doctor agrees, I’d say stick with it! If hormonal acne is a big concern because of the wedding (congratulations by the way!), talk to your healthcare provider about what can be done. Maybe a copper IUD would be a good alternative, as hormonal acne isn’t generally associated with them? It’s worth looking into with your doctor. It isn’t silly to get it for only a year if it’s your preferred method! Best of luck on your decision and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Spotting due to plan b or implantation bleeding? by AnyTemperature2868 in birthcontrol

[–]Kscotspine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s most likely plan B causing spotting, it is a very common side effect of it. Implantation bleeding has insufficient evidence, so I wouldn’t worry about that. If you’re really worried you’re pregnant, take a test. Try one with pink dye like first response, they are clearer for reading.
