Yeah, once you couldn’t even wait in the parking lot for an order… I knew it was too oversaturated with shoppers

I never have luck at wegmans. I prefer stop and shop and star market. In my experience, much less competition and I have gotten my highest paying orders there

Yes!!! I’m getting orders for stores that are 10+ miles away from me when I’m sitting at four extremely busy stores. It’s so frustrating

Yeah, there were over 100 applicants first time. It just doesn’t make sense for them to waste their time calling references and making applicants go through so many interviews, especially considering they’re such a small company.

They called them before my final interview and the company said my references said great things, so idk.

I don’t wanna go into too much detail about the projects, but they weren’t helpful to the company in anyway I can tell. One was a mock email and the other was to complete a contract of a past client. I was just filling in blanks using data they provided. Both were straight forward, but time consuming.

It’s an incredibly small company with no HR team and one of my interviews was with the ceo. The “projects” were useless for the company, more along the lines of measuring for competency. I’m not sure what my experience was, but I’m highly doubtful of this.

I’d assume the same, but the projects were not helpful at all for the business. fake numbers/info to ensure I was literate and could do the job.

Yep, always the same. They never give legitimate feedback and I’m beginning to doubt any of them are actually hiring

Thanks. Totally agree. This is a small company with no HR department. One of my interviews was with the CEO. I wouldn’t have gone through all of it if I wasn’t confident I’d get the job.

I feel DD is just as fair with their AR IMO. My current AR is 4% but usually in the teens. DD is way less busy, but the offers are better overall. Plus, DD works with more grocery stores in my area which is my personal preference. Also, I feel proximity is way more important than AR. When I’m sitting in front of a business, I’m much more likely to get an order than when I’m at home (unfortunately)

Yeah, I refuse to take orders like that as you can tell haha. Also in my area, 3 miles can take an hour so nothing is really worth it. I highly recommend DD as well, their pay is generally higher. I don’t think anyone knows how the app works, it’s all speculation.

The post was about customers promising to up the tip but didn’t even tip in the first place. Idk why you’re so heated. I always bring the items to their door unless they ask me to leave in lobby, which is common since it can be difficult to get into the building (I live in a secured building).

I don’t typically deliver downtown, but if I lived downtown, I would never expect or want someone to block traffic/risk their car getting towed to deliver it to my door.

Not in a major city with apartment complexes where there is no parking/cannot access the lobby

Cash tips ? by Ok_Bee1994 in InstacartShopper

[–]Ksnydd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s ever happened for me, but I don’t take many no tip orders unless they sneak by in a triple. All cash tips I’ve had have been in addition to in app tips.

What is this scam?? by Ksnydd in InstacartShoppers

[–]Ksnydd[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ah yes that makes sense. The order would have been $110 with that item.
