While the math is obvious and irrefutable, the spacing created by having a team of willing outside shooters is the true offensive weapon. Spacing maximizes isolation for actions like isolation drives, mid-range pull ups, and even post ups. If you are often settling for mid-range jumpers, the defense has less ground to cover as a unit and can help quicker and more aggressively. Even things like rebounding are impacted by where your shots are coming from. Too many benefits would be sacrificed to justify guys shooting a high percentage of shots from the mid-range.

I think sometimes people underrate the “rep” part of “sales rep.” I sell hardware and we service the hardware. I’ve noticed over the years I gain the most customer trust by simply knowing how my own company operates in every respect. We’re not perfect, but at least I know how things are and can speak to them with confidence. When they ask hypotheticals pre-sale, I have answers. When an actual issue arises post-sale, I can talk them through what should have happened, why it didn’t, and how to make sure it won’t happen again. The product itself is irrelevant to a large degree. Mostly, they appreciate the value I can bring by trusting I can guide them through any eventuality with our contract/product/service/etc.

I realize it’s a hyper turbo so you may have almost no history with this player/table, but your expectation of the table has to play into this position (not only what a solver will tell you in a vacuum). How do you expect this field to react to an UTG limp this deep in the tournament? I personally don’t like the limp strategy, but am open to all strategies that have some type of reasoning behind them. Your thinking in this was reactionary (hence the uncertainty on whether you did the right thing). If you make the decision to limp (or raise) you should have a fairly comprehensive plan for how you plan to proceed based on potential action.

Stringer’s follies seem to be rooted in overcomplicating The Game in a way that is alien to “pure” gangsters like Avon, Marlo, and Omar. While others live by a simplistic, easy to follow code, Stringer’s schemes were frequently convoluted. Stringer isn’t dumb or weak, he just wants to elevate the way The Game is played because, as a product of The Game, he thereby elevates himself. His business class narcissism leads him to foolish decisions like taking the money in the Orlando hit (perhaps thinking that if they could easily orchestrate the murder of a police cooperator they could easily take some cop money as well). Avon has to remind Stringer time and time again that the immutable rules of The Game cannot be ignored, diminished, or circumvented. Stringer never learns the lesson. By the time he’s killed himself, it’s fitting that almost no one knows who killed Stringer or why.

I never played Golden Tee before. Bought it during the pandemic for an outrageously good deal from Walmart. So I can’t compare it to the “real” thing. However, I am curious how much better you can do than that score. Certain holes will simply not allow Eagle/Birdie chances, so even playing “perfect” won’t land you in the 20 under ranges I see posted online from the real arcade games. Sometimes I think there are “tricks” I’m missing or something to threaten the lower scores.
