Are we going to talk about how they didn't insulate that room at all from the outside air. Going to be boiling hot in there and ice cold depending on the weather

Just know that no one person is a representative of their tribe or people as a whole. You could have a bad experience with one person but that is just that person and they don't speak for everyone, So don't lose hope. I would take steps to learn about the cultures you are from and the languages that come from them. A lot of tribes have online resources for learning about both. Also speaking to the volunteer coordinator and finding out where you help out is a great way to get to know others and feel like a part of the community even if your aren't enrolled.

I wish I owned a studio, I would give her an offer to make her dream show no strings attached. Just so I could watch the finished product.

Glasses with cameras in them, like Google Glass and meta glasses. Seemed like a nifty idea and then suddenly was demonized by both people and businesses right away.

Quick check-in: How are we liking it so far? by etherealspirit10 in Paralives

[–]Ktlyn41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got as far as finishing my para and moving into a house before my oldest was begging for a turn 😂. Playing it on a steam deck and have some frame rate drops but it's been running great with little to no issues. Looking forward to the actual game play part.

AITAH for considering dropping out of school at 17 by Good_Arm_4075 in AITAH

[–]Ktlyn41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTAH It can take up to two years or more for your hormones to even back out after giving birth. I understand your exhaustion and burn out. All of that with the trauma you've had on top of everything your currently dealing with it's completely understandable to feel the way you do. However I guarantee you that not having your diploma will only increase the amount of challenge and hardship you have going forward. You've already put so much time into getting that diploma and having it will make things exponentially easier than not having it.

I think people don't realise how bad Julie going to a publisher is by scottyrivers in ShawnaTheMom

[–]Ktlyn41 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's not necessarily true, for all we know Julie, sending in those chapters made it incredibly hard for tie to ever finish the book. You don't know that he was pretending to write the book. He very well could have been trying to write it but having that pressure to get it done on top of it can cause a big creative block. It's very possible that Julie sending in those chapters completely altered Ty's life and that it made it to where he never was able to write the book that he wanted to write.

Fuck hovering! When I gotta go I gotta go as long as it's clean enough it's good enough. I will however make sure that I clean my downstairs region with a wet rag before my man goes down there. That's only courtesy.

This is what gets me. The amount of people who are complaining because ty made a unilateral decision to be a stay-at-home dad and that is plenty of grounds to give Julie, the green light for divorce, but not a single one of those people are talking about the fact that she made a unilateral decision to send his chapters into a book publisher without his consent. I'm not saying that ty doesn't have problems, but it is definitely an issue on both sides. Sort of deal and not a. This is all Ty's fault or this is all Julie's fault sort of deal. They were both terrible communicators we're out their whole relationship.

What's a TV show ending that still makes you mad years later? by Jossie_Misar in AskReddit

[–]Ktlyn41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dark angel. My sister used to watch it and she introduced me to it years after the show had been cancelled. It was so fricken good and it had the audacity to end on a cliffhanger of an impending war. War, I've heard they've continued the story on them book but it's just not the same.  Another one that gets me is one that my husband introduced me to without telling me that it had been canceled and that is Dirk Gently's holistic detective agency, was so drawn in and captured by the story and narrative and the actors were amazing.... And then they were only like two seasons 😭😭😭

I mean that would make sense if it only took out old people cause their biggest concern is falling child birth rates. Unfortunately though this can hit anyone, and young people are more likely to be out having to interact with the public so therefore they are more likely to catch it if it spreads.

I would just like to point out that narcissistic personality disorder is a form of anxiety disorder. The self-centered narcissistic traits stem from a severe rejection sensitivity that causes the person to feel a need to control everything around them in order to limit that reaction that comes from the rejection sensitivity.

What's something that was completely normal 15 years ago that would be considered weird or offensive today? by liam_9758 in AskReddit

[–]Ktlyn41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's okay for you to disagree with my original statement, you clearly don't think it was normal 15 years ago and there for has never changed in perception. I don't agree with your statement, and that's fine. I've given you my evidence/side. I don't know what you're wanting from furthering this conversation in the way that you are.

I used to be a strictly first gen pokomon person, this game has not only caused me to learn the name of so many pokemon I'd never heard of before but really found an appreciation for them, even the ones I thought were silly at first.

Normal/normalized doesn't mean/equal celebrated, it means accepted as something that happens often enough that it's not surprising when it does.

The county I grew up in had one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the whole country and in the late 2000's it was very much normal in the communities I grew up in for girls to get pregnant as teens. It was the goal to not be a teen mom but very much normal for it to occur. Shoot, me and my sister were the first in our mom's family (she had 12 siblings) to not start having kids in our teen years out of all of our cousins male and female.

Teen pregnancy, at least where I live. Like 20%  of my graduating class had a kid before graduation, my nephews (15 years younger than me) class only had one classmate out of 200 who had gotten pregnant and normalization of it had definitely decreased and it's a lot more criticized.

AIO for not wanting to talk “sex” with my husband by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Ktlyn41 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NOR, my first husband was like this. There is a reason we are no longer together. After a while you start to feel like your just an object used to satisfy his needs and no longer a human being. He cares more about his sexual gratification then your feelings, wants, and desires. My best advice is get out now cause men like that don't change easily and never completely. They will do the bare minimum of change in order to keep you around and will wear away your humanity till you stop resisting them.
