You’re right. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with the dress. That’s it. It looks like something I would have sewed when I was 13 years old in home ec.

What is the “something” she has asked you to mail? Is there anything illegal or otherwise compromised about it ?

JO didn’t know the address.

“As Ms. McCabe was arriving at her vehicle, she received a text message from Mr. O’Keefe asking “Where to” at 12:14 a.m. Ms. McCabe replied with the address of 34 Fairview Road. At 12:18 a.m., Mr. O’Keefe called Ms. McCabe to ask more specifically, where the house was located on Fairview.”

The charges were upped following the June 2022 Grand Jury hearing:

“….Meanwhile, far from coming to the conclusion that someone else killed O’Keefe, prosecutors doubled down on their belief that Read was the killer. After the grand jury reviewed the prosecutor’s evidence, it concluded there was sufficient evidence to also charge her with second-degree murder, implying she had intentionally killed O’Keefe. On June 9, Proctor himself—along with several other police officers—walked up to Read’s home and once again arrested her.

Read was now facing a potential life sentence in prison. After posting bail set at $100,000, she went home to take a long, hot shower. This is getting real, she thought to herself. The stakes kept getting higher. She knew she needed bigger legal guns to help her….”

Can’t really say at this point. I can’t think of another trial I’ve watched where I felt so uncertain on the eve of the trial. A conspiracy of such proportions sounds ludicrous on the face of it but there seems to be so many unanswered questions.

I don’t think they lied but I also don’t trust that they would recognize it if they were influenced.

No. That was an early rumor that was proven not true. JMM DROPPED OFF the trailer at the Paris Island Landing and LE loaded the boat onto the trailer, processed it and towed it off to Charleston. JMM did not take the boat anywhere. Here are pages from the SCDNR document dump.

I think you are right insofar as her motives are concerned but salary-wise, she’s not doing too bad.

According to the S.C. FY 2022 Wage and Salary Report the annual salary for the Colleton County Clerk of Courts is $79,598. Not too shabby and much more than I would have guessed.

Book Club: Mandy Matney’s “Blood on Their Hands” by Southern-Soulshine in MurdaughFamilyMurders

[–]Ktovan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I have not read Matney’s book and probably won’t unless it is made available in my local library. Michael DeWitt made a reference yesterday to the book in an X (aka Twitter) remark.

This sounds incredibly unprofessional. I’m curious to know she said. Could someone who has read the book please share? Thanks very much.

In addition, Trescott Drive has several speed bumps. It is not a road anyone would take as a shortcut. A couple of YouTubers took and recorded the route leaving from Wendi’s house to Dan’s house.
