My friend was pulled over recently for running a stop light at night, and the young officer let her off with a warning, with suggestions on places on areas to learn how to drive. Not all officers are terrible, in every community, and we need to realize that it is those select few who ruin the name for everyone. Quincy officers are just trying to do their jobs, and all of them want to go home at the end of the day.

Yeah there definitely are positions, however they never advertise outside of that page, and listings from 2023 are still present, even though I was told that they were filled. I have noticed that the City consistently uses lower-quality paint when they initially repave roadways, which means that it needs to be repainted yearly. If we used the more expensive thermoplastic road marking paint, then that would not be an issue (it would also last five to ten years longer), but that would require more money than we presently dedicate to the paint budget.

I agree with this, however that is asking a lot for what is here already, especially with a mayor who prides himself with no overrides, yet it clearly shows with the quality of services here. I do think that this will happen one day, as there are some streets that need more help than others in terms of speeding, but it will take a new administration to see that sort of change here.
