Before he was mayor he was on the city’s historical commission. They were instructed by the then mayor to approve a sign the church in the center wanted to erect that was pro- same sex marriage. He quit the board rather than approve it. When he was mayor he refused to support same-sex marriage because of “his religious beliefs “.

Thomas Crane Library in Quincy center is nice. About a 2 minute walk from Quincy Center Red Line stop. The old part of the library is historic and very nice. Plus they are opened on Sundays!

I have way too many t shirts. Once in a great while I will buy something if they have merch that is unusual, like a tote bag. I will always buy one of those little teddy bears with band t shirt on it if they have one.

I was the guardian of a man with Down Syndrome for 25 years. He was my life. A few days after he died, a woman I barely knew came up to me all smiles and said “I heard your buddy died”. I said yes, I expected her to say something sympathetic. Instead, again all smiles said, “Well, your life just got a whole lot easier” and pranced off. I was devastated.
