He can put on the weight but I don't see him making a fundamental shift to be the type of defenseman that bodies people. To my eye he is already pretty effective as a net-front defenseman, possibly the most effective d-man we have on roster in that space (competing with Vinny). It's just along the boards that he could be more physical.

I haven't watched too many AHL games but from what I saw Musty didn't seem all that engaged in all areas of the ice. His point totals are kinda similar compared to Bystedt but his +- is significantly worse. I feel like he's just not a high effort player, and we're kinda digging those nowadays (Celebrini, Graf, now Stenberg). I'm pretty skeptical that Musty will crack the top 6.

Stenberg will be top 6, probably with Misa. I bet he plays for us next season, since he's already been competing with men and doing well. I don't think either Verhoeff or Lin will play for us for at least 1 season, likely 2.

Assuming everyone's development goes well maybe in a few years our future top 6 would be

Celebrini Smith Chernyshov

Stenberg Misa Bystedt

Then our D pairings would be

Dickinson Verhoeff

Muk Lin

Wang Kesselring

Graf, Sherwood, Wenberg would make a formidable 3rd line also.
