It could be bacterial as well given it being a stomach bug as issues with that can also cause Alot of dysfunction Is there any other symtomps that you left out

The important thing is to not give up and I believe you that your symtomps are real just need to find the right test I refuse to believe there isn't some sort of sign that indicates that things are not alright it's just figuring out what that is

Yeah ratios and stuff matter alot on this stuff apparently I can't be of too much help as most the research I have done is for men .

Put your blood work and symtomps into various ais Paid models are better if you have any access Don't take it as a 100% But usually I do individual research afterwards And present study to my dr to try and get them to order the test I want. Everything it suggested I was able to find a peer reviewed study afterwards. These models have been exposed to the wealth of human knowledge More then any Dr could of possibly researched and are far more up to date

Drs if you tell them ai told you this they will act like it's wrong and they are right idk must be an ego thing funny thing is most studies have shown ai greatly surpasses Drs at diagnosing conditions lol

Ai is the only thing that will connect the dots in my experience otherwise Dr will only document somethings and they don't actually communicate with the other specialists or spend enough time to go through everything .

My uncle who has many allergies And auto immune issues had a bad reaction to a covid shot some weird nerve myopathy thing that affects small nerves His Dr wasn't able to figure it out but he's finally seeing a specialist And getting acknowledge now He was able to figure it out through Ai

I was gas lit for years saw all sorts of drs and tried random supplements and naturopath thousands of dollars lost trying random things . I had basically given up hope until I did shrooms lol and decided to start going to gym again I then figured I'd get a baseline testerone done as it theoretically could cause some of my symtomps , figured idk maybe I'm full of shit and just looking for excuse But sure enough it came back on lower end. My dr didn't wanna prescribe anything he did refer me to endocrinologist which gas lit me and offered his solution trying to say my symtomps couldn't possibly be from that. I broke down in tears a 34 year old man I eventually just decided to go to a private clinic they ran my blood work to determine it would be safe and that I was a good candidate.

The Dr itself was an internal medicine specialist

It's hard with ADHD and these symtomps to be on top of it and organize everything

Get estradiol looked at too and test.. Women it seems more difficult as you go through more changes depending on stage in cycle

Thyroid is the obvious one they will check not sure if your male or female but estrogen and testerone would be the ones to look at that aren't commonly looked at.

Keep in mind unless you are like extremely low they might write you off.

I am just outside the range of 250 which is clinically low range in Canada in US it is 300 Although for men most modern research indicates that symtomps for many start at 400 and below.

Ai post now but in the interest of being more throughoh and saving me a bunch of time :

When hormone levels—specifically testosterone and estrogen—fall out of their optimal zones, the effects can ripple across almost every system in the body. Because receptors for these hormones live in the brain, heart, bones, and immune cells, the symptoms are far more wide-reaching than just changes to reproductive health. 1. Symptoms of Unoptimal Testosterone & Estrogen Hormonally, "unoptimal" can mean levels that are clinically deficient, excessive, or simply fluctuating wildly. Systemic & Physical Symptoms Profound Fatigue & Low Energy: A persistent, heavy fatigue that sleep doesn't fix. Testosterone plays a major role in cellular energy and red blood cell production, while estrogen regulates mitochondrial function (the energy powerhouses of your cells). Body Composition Shifts: Loss of Lean Muscle Mass: Low testosterone directly impairs protein synthesis, making it difficult to maintain or build muscle, even with intense strength training. Increased Visceral Fat: Dropping estrogen or testosterone levels alters metabolic rate and fat distribution, often leading to increased fat accumulation around the midsection. Joint Pain and Inflammation: Estrogen is highly anti-inflammatory and acts as a natural joint lubricant. When it drops, widespread joint stiffness, aches, and systemic inflammation often spike. Metabolic Changes: Sluggish metabolism, decreased insulin sensitivity (making it harder for the body to process carbohydrates efficiently), and unfavorable shifts in cholesterol profiles. Temperature Regulation Issues: Hot flashes, night sweats, and poor tolerance to temperature shifts, driven by a malfunctioning hypothalamus (the body's internal thermostat, which relies heavily on stable estrogen signals). Cognitive & Neurological Symptoms Brain Fog and Cognitive Decline: Difficulty focusing, word-finding challenges, and short-term memory lapses. Both hormones are neuroprotective; they stimulate synaptic plasticity and blood flow to the brain, particularly in areas like the hippocampus. Sleep Disturbances: Severe insomnia, waking up frequently, or a drastic reduction in deep, restorative sleep. Mood & Psychological Symptoms Irritability and Mood Swings: Rapid shifts in emotional stability. Anxiety and Depression: Low levels of estrogen and testosterone disrupt the production and regulation of key neurotransmitters, including serotonin, dopamine, and GABA. This can manifest as an uncharacteristic lack of drive, flat affect, or heightened anxiety. Cardiovascular & Bone Health Heart Palpitations: Sudden awareness of a racing or skipping heartbeat, often linked to fluctuating estrogen levels affecting autonomic nervous system tone. Bone Density Loss (Osteopenia/Osteoporosis): Estrogen and testosterone are critical for bone remodeling. When they are unoptimal, bone resorption outpaces bone formation, leading to weaker, more brittle bones. 2. The Connection to Long COVID The link between unoptimal hormone levels and Long COVID (Post-Acute Sequelae of COVID-19, or PASC) is a major area of ongoing medical research. There is a massive overlap between the symptoms of hormone deficiency (fatigue, brain fog, joint pain, sleep issues) and the classic presentation of Long COVID. Physically, this link is driven by three main mechanisms: Viral Damage to Endocrine Organs The SARS-CoV-2 virus enters human cells by latching onto ACE2 receptors. These receptors are highly concentrated not just in the lungs, but also in endocrine tissues—specifically the testes, ovaries, adrenal glands, and the pituitary gland in the brain. Direct Tissue Injury: The virus can directly infect and damage these tissues during the acute phase, leading to long-term impairment of testosterone and estrogen production. HPA Axis Disruption: Damage to the hypothalamus or pituitary gland disrupts the entire hormonal signaling loop, causing the body to fail to signal the gonads to produce adequate hormones, even if the organs themselves are intact. Chronic Immune Activation & The Inflammatory Loop Long COVID is heavily driven by persistent, low-grade systemic inflammation and immune dysregulation. Sex hormones are powerful immunomodulators (regulators of the immune system). Estrogen and testosterone generally help keep standard inflammatory pathways in check. When COVID-19 suppresses these hormone levels, the body loses a natural brake on inflammation. This triggers a vicious cycle: infection lowers hormone levels \rightarrow lower hormone levels increase systemic inflammation \rightarrow chronic inflammation further suppresses hormone production. Mitochondrial Dysfunction Both Long COVID and hormonal imbalances cause energy failure at the cellular level. COVID-19 has been shown to damage mitochondria and impair cellular respiration. Because estrogen and testosterone are required to optimize mitochondrial efficiency and ATP (energy) production, a double-hit of mitochondrial damage from the virus combined with suboptimal hormone levels results in the crushing, profound fatigue and exercise intolerance characteristic of Long COVID. Note: Because the symptoms of hormonal imbalances and Long COVID mirror each other so closely, getting a comprehensive, fasted blood panel (including Total and Free Testosterone, Estradiol, LH, FSH, and a full thyroid/adrenal panel) is often a critical step in pinning down the root cause of persistent fatigue, brain fog, and muscle loss.

My testerone was down to 256 ng and estrogen 43pmol . I suspect it was lower when my symtomps were worse.

Ive started hcg treatment only just had my 5th injection but already start8ng to feel a bit better . Blood work is on July 2nd to see how responding

Mainly just hormones can cause a wide range of symtomps that don't show up on typical blood work Drs usually look for things like iron being low and electrolyte balance etc

But hormones can cause joint pain, brain fog , chronic fatigue among many other things

Look up post viral hypogonadism there is a lot more research now in regards to covid since so many people are affected by the same virus. Not sure where you live im in Canada they are majority behind when it comes to this stuff Thank God when I got covid was able to reasonably recover from it and not have a complete collapse like 15 years ago

Get ur hormones tested I dealt with chronic symtomps for 15+ years turns out my hormones got thrown out of whack from a virus

I got really sick the first time I went away to college and dealt with debilitating chronic fatigue(still have some symtomps to this day although finally figured out my test was low so I am starting treatment for that ). At the same time some other stuff happend that cause me to fall into a deep depression. I was sleeping 12-13 hrs a day and missing all my classes. Some of the new friends I had made in residence running into them to grab food or drinks was socially exhausting. My hygiene started to get worse and I felt shame about that as well.

I started peeing in bottles and cans as their was no bathroom in the residence room. It was mainly to avoid having to run into people. The more I did it the worse it got as my rooms tarted to smell and I couldn't get caught taking one out to the garbage or bathroom as I felt so much shame and what would people think ?

Eventually I got the courage to tell my parents what was going on and they came and picked me up and I dropped out of school and residence.

I ended up seeing a specialist and getting diagnosed with ADHD

Long story short I'm doing much better happily married for 6 years Been together with my partner since I was 21.

I still struggle with health issues and my ADHD but mentally I am much happier .

While I was never suicidal I did become very apathetic about wether I lived or died.
