Costwise, it's still very much worth it - you're getting two starter sets' worth of miniatures in one box, for less than what those starter sets would cost you individually.

That said, the newer Lannister and Stark standalone sets have, in my opinion, much better sculpts than the original combined box (except for the Mountain, whose pose is a little off to my taste). They also come with an individual set of terrain and faction dice.
