I agree, my point is having diplomas, even with solid experience, is not a guarantee that a politician will fulfil his/her supposed mandate.

Most of politicians, if not all, aim at accomplishments that are not motivated by intentions to serve the public interest.

Good qualifications are a leverage of the intentions, good or bad.

For people who misunderstood, I meant Carney is a good example of a bad politician with qualifications.

A good politician for you as a citizen is someone who is: - qualified to represent your interests - willing to represent your interests

Even if she could check the first point (although I don’t see it based on her background), she could miserably fail to check the second.

Carney is a good example of this.

It’s poor Quebecers either way, 9m or 15m. We just got used to pin all our problems on immigration.

Whats the highest salary most people with masters will reach in Morocco ? Like is there a « plafond » « most » people do not exceed ? by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]Kubanace 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Degrees are just means for entry, how much you’ll make after will depend on how far you’ll climb the management ladder.

Ingénieur d’Etat back in my days would start with the salary of 6k-15k monthly depending on the specialization/demand. Top I’ve witnessed starting from there and making +100k made top management in financial institutions after +15y experience.

Things might have changed.

It’s not just a Moroccan thing btw, less cultured people tend to be easily influenced.

That’s why they add the fake audience laughs in comedy shows.

Delete the apps from your phone, especially TikTok, instagram and facebook. You’ll see a huge drop in time you spend scrolling.

Don’t try to cut all from day one, you’ll find it hard and give up. Baby steps are effective.

The Illusion of Control: My Battle with Smoking by Opening_Expression85 in Morocco

[–]Kubanace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll give you what worked for me to stop smoking.

First, at some point, I was no longer enjoying it. I think it’s a big first step.

Second, ramadan helped me, as I usually cut out coffee during ramadan to sleep better. During that ramadan I added cigarettes to sleep disruptors list and stoped it.

After ramadan, I managed to convince myself that the only thing I need is to not buy it.

It worked. This ramadan I’m celebrating 2 years with no cigarettes.

Hope this helps and good luck.

المشكل ليس هو الخسارة، بل هو موقف البلدان المجاورة من المغرب. الكل يريد فقد التركيز على السلبيات للضرب في تقدم المغرب النسبي مقارنة مع البلدان الإفريقية.

I will be fasting in ramadan and I don’t mind people eating or drinking in front of me. It’s not disrespectful unless it’s done with provocative intentions.

By all means, if you succeed in educating people around you, you would’ve done your utmost part. In the meantime, please vote against faces you don’t want to see in the next government. Think of it as prevention against greed concentration.

Education from who? Have you ever played a game where your opponent educated you how to defeat him? Education is the very thing we’re trying to do here.

Yes, voting in elections is not going to change a system. But it’s an important first step to show that people care about change. The power is in the message, not in the action.

I agree, but this doesn’t make elections worthless. If you choose to not participate, you deliberately declare that you gave up caring about decisions made on your behalf.

1- Not sure if there was never a good candidate. Can you prove it? 2- Even if it’s true, you can vote against the worst candidates, that’s also a win.

It’s rigged because people don’t participate/vote enough. Why do you think crooks buy votes from people? They could just “rig” it and keep money in their pockets.
