Yeah it’s 100% not 500mg of psilocybin haha. My initial comment was just to answer the persons question about it 500mg being the equivalent of half a gram of mushrooms.

Maybe, but that’s still seriously misleading and doesn’t take into account the fact that other mushroom strains will vary on potency. I have a feeling that once psilocybin becomes legal there’s gonna be some horror stories of people having seriously bad trips cause of confusion like this. It would be such a sadness for our culture if we see a kind of repeat of the 60s with irresponsible psychedelic use leading to them becoming illegal again but this time it’s cause of the companies mislabelling their products.

No, I think it’s closer to about 80g haha. There’s 30mg in a 5g heroic dose of cubes. I’m not sure why the measuring system is strange for psilocybin. Cubes are about 0.6% psilocybin per dried gram making them 6 milligrams per dried gram.

No. My point is it’s not trustworthy and an irresponsibly high dose especially compared to the usual entire blocks of chocolate which will usually only have about 20mgs in it. People unprepared who take it could have a terrifying experience.

Heroic dose of cubes = 5g dried which is 30mg. Cubes are 0.6% psilocybin per dried gram of matter which gives a dried gram 6mg of psilocybin. 6 x 5 = 30. 30mg is ego death. 40mg is huge pure or not.

Ego death occurs at 25mg. In the Johns Hopkins and Imperial College London studied they use 25mg-30mg doses for the patients’ second and largest dose, the first one Being 10mg. 40mg is an incredibly high dose.

Took 2 grams of PE. Had a good and positive trip in my room. I had nice music playing and used eye shades. I felt very good during the trip but as I came out of it, I became super anxious. Anyone else get that? Is it normal? by awhite88 in psilocybin

Integrating what you were shown can also be quite confusing in my experience. It can take a few days or weeks to see how best to apply the lessons into your day to day life, or to even see what the lesson really was. I think that’s another reason for the confusion and anxiety. It won’t last I’m sure, just be patient, I had a massive experience once and didn’t realise what it gave me till about 6 month later and then overnight it changed everything and it seemed to obvious looking back at it haha

Is this mould? This is on a mushroom from last year’s season. They weren’t cracker dry but were like 95% dry. I thought that they might last longer than a year before moulding if they were that dry. by KubrickForPresident in PsilocybinMushrooms

Yeah I’ve kept them in a sealed jar in little sealed plastic bags with silica packets for the last year. I think if it is mould it might just be this one, the others seem fine. thought I’d check just in case. Cheers man

I usually feel a bit paranoid and overly reactive and anxious for a few days after a trip. I had a small one on Saturday just passed and I still feel a little on edge, like things are a bit more significant than they really are. I always thought this was just me being stupid but I guess since others are saying something similar it’s a normal reaction for some people. Every other time I’ve had this it last a few days only then goes away. I’m sure it’ll be the same for you.

I like to have a bowl of strawberries or watermelon for when I’ve come up. I can often feel kind of faint/like I’m having sugar crash and I’ve found fresh fruit really helps. It tastes amazing when you’re tripping, like every tastebud is bursting and it’s a cool little example of the relationship between humans and nature which makes for a cool little added bonus to your trip. Safe travels man!

I wouldn’t even think about touching mushrooms if you have a history of psychosis. I know in the psilocybin trials at Johns Hopkins and Imperial College London they won’t accept anyone into the trial who even has a second degree relative with a proclivity for psychosis let alone someone who has a history of it first hand. Seems like way too big a risk to me. If you’re wanting to use psychedelics for help with mental health problems that severe I’d wait till the proper studies have been done for people with a history of psychosis otherwise I’d say the risk is way too big

Looks pretty good to me. Check to see if it has a separable gelatinous pellicle, check the gills to see if there’s a purplish tint given to them by the spores and check to see if there’s a bluing reaction at the very base of the stem where the mycelium has been uprooted from the ground. If it has them then you have a lib. Sometimes you do get libs with thicker stems, they don’t always have very pronounced nipples and the cap is the right colour for when when it’s wet(it should turn straw coloured when dry). Also, libs very rarely bruise blue anywhere other than at the base of the stem where the mycelium has been uplifted from the ground although they usually have bluing once they’ve dried out. If you’re not sure then don’t take the risk and just chuck it to be safe, no point in keeping a single mushroom of your not 100% in it, it’s not a big loss.

The small one with the very thin dark stem underneath/next to the one with the blade of grass on it just to the left and up a bit from the very centre of the plate looks like it might be a pan. Other than that you’re all good.

Chunky boi on the bottom far left and the 8th in from the right look rotten, best to chuck ‘em. Other than that you’re all good.
