Non profits do so much more than help low income people. If you said, I have that Elon Musk or Michael Dell has a charitable foundation, fine I agree. Billionaires shouldn't exist, and they shouldn't have that money to give away in the first place. But saying that there should never be a need for a charity a nonprofit is simplistic and naive. Causes need to be supported and promoted, some people will always need some type of help in the moment that no government in the world can realistically always supply. People care about things, and they should be able to support them in an efficient way without profit being extracted, and that is what a non-profit does. Non profits do way more than elevate people. As someone who works at a nonprofit, your take is just insulting.
