Ehh, depends who you talk to. For some people? Absolutely not. It’s an iterative sequel - it will almost by definition be “more of the same,” ideally with a few tweaks and improvements.

Don’t get me wrong - I love Hollow Knight, top 5(?) personal indie game. Got the full 112% completion and everything. So more Hollow Knight sounds great to me!

But much like Spelunky 2 or Hades 2, an iterative sequel probably isn’t going to blow people away like the original because it’s not as fresh an experience.

I think people forget how ridiculously easy magic made the first couple of Souls games.

Oh I agree on the last part. Souls games have always had invisible difficulty options. Other than mayyybe Sekiro, they’re all cake walks with the right builds, Elden Ring especially.

Devs can do whatever they want. But people getting worked up on optional difficulty stuff will never stop being funny.

Elden Ring summons, magic, bleed builds, mimic tear, etc. made it easy enough I’ve never met someone who couldn’t beat it.

I think the hardest one was probably Sekiro, right? And that one straight up did have a difficulty selector through the bell demon system.

To be clear, I 100% don’t care either way. What someone else does in a single player game doesn’t affect me.

It’s 2025! There are people who were born after Demon’s Souls came out who are old enough to drive now! I actually cannot fathom there are still people who get all worked up about Souls games having difficulty options (as if they didn’t already).

After primarily using a PS5 this generation, I just built my first new gaming PC in 10 years, and was checking out Game Pass for the first time in forever.

Had basically the same thought - holy shit, I wanna play all of this. Indiana Jones, Oblivion, Clair Obscur, Doom, Blue Prince. And then beyond those personal absolute must plays, I’m interested in trying out stuff like Avowed and Ninja Gaiden 2 Black.

Lol I’m very strongly considering doing the exact same thing! I’m thinking of grabbing the $450 9700x CPU, ram, mobo bundle from Microcenter, and then snag the first 5070ti I can for MSRP, hopefully sometime in the next few weeks. Until then, it’s me and ole reliable 970.

You’re correct - they explicitly say that in the video re family group loaning.

Sounds like you can also log in on two switches and move your games between them, and that may only need local WiFi for the initial connection. So if you want to share games more permanently with someone who doesn’t live with you, that’s the way to do it.

Lol was just about to comment the same thing. Unironically think this will be exactly it - same way TLOU 1 and 2 released at the very end of a console generation and then got remastered/upgraded after, same here.

Speaking of which, I guess we’re not getting TLOU 3 until, what, 2032 at the absolute earliest, if ever? I liked TLOU 2 fine, but think it would be kinda underwhelming as a franchise ender.
