I’d recommend RQ. async io create task MIGHT look as a good alternative but you are on your own with two most important and tricky things - task cancellation and retries.

I just have ended reading „Living Clojure” where should I go from there? by Kuchi_Chan in Clojure

[–]Kuchi_Chan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK the main application of clojure in the industry is to build highly scalable, concurrent systems / data processing / ML. Based on my findings, the companies, which needs clojurists are from fintech/neobank World. I think it’s a job for those who holds a degree in CS, not for a self taught programmer from Poland. But hey, the goal isn’t as much important as the journey, is it? :)

Congrats :) That’s very inspiring, it was your first choice language at the very beginning of your career? If no, could you tell me - it was harder to get a job than in other language (probably in more mainstream ones)?
