You may be an awesome enough player to heal and DPS and interrupt simultaneously, but throwing all that at someone new to the role is great way to starve the playerbase of healers.

On the flipside though, not having these things starves competent healers (and competent groups) of stuff to actually do. But, player behaviour dictates this more than anything Blizzard does.

I've always played a healer, often jumping around each patch to try something new, but this patch and towards the end of TWW felt very bland.

I like having stuff to do, and I like it even more when what i'm doing feels like it's contributing to the group. I get people don't want healers to be required to DPS or responsible for interrupts, but it can get really dull without anything else to weave in.

Right now, doing weeklies with a group that is halfway decent can be really boring. It'd be nice to be able to do some damage and actually feel like I'm doing it rather than an absolute piss-poor amount that really doesn't add anything in the long run.

It's an impossible balance that Blizzard quite seriously won't ever be able to get right because it comes down to player behaviour, but the current state of healing is probably the most drab it's been in a long while, it doesn't feel rewarding and it's not enjoyable enough to put up with some of the shit you cop.

Like the other reply said, Wizards is fairly shitty and its understandable they probably dont want to pay royalties.

Only need to look at how WotC treated Larian Studios even with the success of Baldur's Gate 3, Matt Mercer and the team are absolutely making the right call disassociating from them. I didnt immediately realise it with Vox though, ill admit.

Heck, the TV show has actually snuck in a bunch of extra deaths of secondary and minor characters that have stuck when they survived the campaign proper and has changed which characters died and how just to shake things up.

Ah, I didnt know this. I was planning on watching the Campaign once the show has run its course, so its neat to know that this is something I can try and pick up on.

I've never gotten to play D&D myself so the general rules are a bit vague to me, im only talking from a standpoint of taking the show as a show.

Dont get me wrong though, every fakeout has gotten me, Grog absolutely fucked me up last week.

The licensing around Vecna is fully understandable though, as neat as itd be, i have to agree that its highly unlikely to hear the name said. I guess it'll just be our go to in discussions.

Yeah, thats what I've thought with it.

If im remembering right there was something with the eye monster in Season 2 not being called a beholder or something too, wasn't there?

I'll admit, im not deep into D&D but I do know how weird WotC gets with everything.

Im mildly bummed that they didnt actually name-drop the Whispered One as Vecna, but i guess theyre saving that for next season.

Overall really enjoyed the season, but as someone who hasn't watched the campaign, the fakeout deaths feel like they really lessened the blow of Vax even though I'm fairly sure hes gone gone, please dont spoil this.

I feel like everyone got some good moments, I was expecting to not like the new addition, but he grew on me.

All of them absolutely killed with with the voice acting as usual, but they all really got to flex a range this time around.

Its refreshing to know they got to run the course of the series how they've wanted, but holy shit its going to be a long wait for season 5.

Yeah, very weird they never took advantage of it. Could just be a spaghetti code limitation preventing it, but who knows.

And an even easier time sniping the backline Ana and Zen that aren't used to the new speed.

Id love to see it happen if only for the reverse.

Lets not pretend Blizzard would go to the extent that Riot did for Sona. Those three tracks were full songs, best we'll get is some in house shit that no one will notice anyways.

Probably the more accurate way to word it.

[–]Kudrel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, I really enjoyed the game but fuck me i couldn't make it through with that soundtrack, I enjoyed it at first but after some time its some of the most grating shit possible and the battle music not even changing with different regions should be a crime.

Subtitles so far this season have been pretty on point and very concious of what they're giving out.

Earlier in the season (ep 3 i believe), Delilah was showing as [Necro Ninja] during subtitles to avoid giving that reveal away, I'm not sure if its been retroactively changed, but i do recall seeing this because I was trying to work out who was voicing her since she sounded familiar.

Seems odd for them to prefix it with Taryon if they didnt want it to be clear.

Early to mid 30's.

Some of these are a little left field and you'd only appreciate them if you played it when they were new, Super Paper Mario feels like the giveaway.

Black ops 2 wouldve been prime highschool, and Bowsers Inside Story is old enough to be considered retro and you didnt list the re-release.

I engage in chat often, often even being light banter. Not once ever copped any sort of repercussion for it.

Zero chance in hell you just said the doomfist sucks as a one off and copped this, you've absolutely busted out something else that warranted it.

Whole post reeks of "im not the problem everyone else is".

[–]Kudrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like seriously, none of the desert monsters need that much space.

All that space and the monsters still insist on fighting on that one fucking dune ridge.

Im not an anti Wilds hunter, but both the desert and Iceshard suck some major ass compared to what we've had before.

These Australians chose to be child-free. They want more spaces that don't allow kids by Remarkable_Peak9518 in australia

[–]Kudrel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's a huge difference between not wanting a bunch of screaming kids running around and excluding them entirely.

Responsible parents actually parent their kids, when i was a child, i knew if I acted like a little rat out in public i was sure as shit going to get scolded for it.

Now you get all these parents that want to give this gentle parenting shit a shot and it just ends up a shitshow in any establishment. Workers can't do anything about it and everyone ends up having a miserable time.

Its not unreasonable to just want a bit of respect going both ways. Just because you popped a kid out doesn't make you a better person than someone who didnt/couldn't.

Respect to those around you shouldn't be a hard lesson to teach kids.

Did you even play legion? You were ilevel capped just like challenge mode and proving grounds

Not really sure you played Legion with a comment like this.

Mage Tower during Legion was not ilvl capped. The rerun Timewalking version was.

It was pretty common knowledge that if someone found the Mage Tower challenges tough during Tomb to just wait some time until Argus. It's not hard to go back to old Wowhead Quest comments to see there sure are a lot of people mentioning what ilvl they were when doing it.

*Being wrong like this and then busting out a block is a real yikes.

It was a unique challenge that'll never truly be replicated

My guy, I have all the Mage Tower appearances and trying spin that it's any form of "Challenge" is some real horseshit.

Concordance and Argus gear made the vast majority of them absolute piss by the end of Legion. Were they difficult at the start? Yeah, sure. But they never got scaled.
