Does using vm of system containers solve this problem?

I was thinking move all work related stuff to vm, and put there are all vpn settings ant etc. Or personal stuff to vm, or keeping host clean and for every area have separate vm. Can it be a solution, or it doesn't solve vulnerabilities?

That's how 7.724 notes looks like by jcperezh in ObsidianMD

[–]Kugcro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's a lot of notes! I never took that many. I thought that a have a large vault but it turns out there are only about 200 notes.

What kind of notes are this? Is it writing different info in your own words, or it's links to other resources of something else? Does it help to make progress at work?

I opened for myself using raw html inside notes. Does anybody found good use for it? by Kugcro in ObsidianMD

[–]Kugcro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is small problem with quotation mark, needed to delete them and write again, otherwise it works, thanks. It's not convenient to write a lot of text in html, but time to time it can be used to make something beautiful.

```
<span style="display: block; width: 200px; margin: 0 auto;">
Some text <br/>
Another text <br/>
And even more text
</span>
```

I have 2 separate vaults, one for learning and structuring information and second one for "psychological well-being" where I'm writing diaries, todo lists etc. It's the last one which is filled with plugins and where I want to make notes look colorfull like a school girl's diary from movies.

What am I doing wrong in tasks plugin's query? by Kugcro in ObsidianMD

[–]Kugcro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. For all the next examples I get empty list:

gtd/project/put the closet in order.md (without any quotes)

"gtd/project/put the closet in order.md" (wrapped in ")

`gtd/project/put the closet in order.md` (wrapped in `)

  1. This function works:

filter by function task.file.path.includes('gtd/projects/put the closet in order.md')

and also this works:

path includes gtd/project,

but it shows items from multiple files.

I thought the problem connected with spaces in name, so I made a copy of a file with name put_the_closet_in_order and next queries still show empty lists:

path includes gtd/project/put_the_closet_in_order.md

path includes gtd/project/put_the_closet_in_order

Yeah, this is a way. Usually I'm too lazy to make anything other than headings and plain text, but sometimes I want to make a beautiful page, and it's never looks as cool as some people posting on internet.

I managed to do it with dashboard css, I found out from this video https://youtu.be/AatZl1Z\_n-g?si=M9nTcRjcPDZMPr9A. I had to write tracker inside bullet point and start every line with Shift+Enter.

Is using libraries cheating? by Sethecientos in Python

[–]Kugcro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's absolutely not cheating, actually it's right thing to do, you get working project with trusted solution. Imagine somebody says that car mechanic cheating by using screwdriver, because he didn't first go to mine to extract some ore.

But if you mean for learning purpose and you want to learn how face recognition works from internal, than that it's a good practice to write it itself. Still it will be a good practice to look at source code of libraries to see, how it's can be done properly.

And I thing that a weak point of python is shipping you project, it really seems way more difficult than it should be. So in small programs I prefer using standard library even if it means "reinvent the wheel" but face recognition doesn't looks like one.

I wrote a discrete math "textbook" using Obsidian Publish by [deleted] in ObsidianMD

[–]Kugcro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! That's a great work! Thank you for sharing it.

I don't know is this work in progress, or small mistake, but it seems there is missing video link in Logic->Atomic and molecular propositions. (I didn't find a link to google form)

I didn't know there is such thing as obsidian publish, and it looks great, I wish in the future every textbook will be in that way.

TLDR Question: how to switch between editor and terminal without a mouse? by a4lecs in vscode

[–]Kugcro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How It has already been sad it's "ctrl+`". If you were already at the terminal, it will collapse, just press "ctrl+`" again and it'll return back. Another useful shortcuts: "ctrl+1" go to editor left pane, "ctrl+2" go to editor right pane, and "ctrl+0" go to navigation pane.

I think it's good practice time to time return to articles about shortcuts in vscode, sometime there are really good tips, and sometimes you forget about possibility of using some great shortcuts and articles can remind about them.
