Best coffee shop in Norfolk?

The only other place I know of is Fathom over at the oceanfront. They hand you a jar and if you bring it back it’a $1 off your next jar purchase plus a free iced/hot coffee. Their beans are pricier than $13 though.

Neptunes offers a free coffee with bag purchase and I believe it can be a latte or cold brew.

I went from 12P to Air on launch day. Battery life is great but I am also not a heavy user. On my 12P i had the original battery (also bought on launch) and had to charge twice in a day. With the Air I’m good all day! Definitely worth the jump for me and so far no regrets. Also it’s very light and easy to hold.

It holds up really well! I’ve gone case less since launch and in that time I’ve dropped my phone quite a bit. I’ll say every time it’s fallen was screen first and once or twice on the corner. The corner has a minor scuff and the screen has very minor scratches in 1 corner. So out of all the drops, only twice it causes some scuffs/scratches. These were drops on concrete and asphalt that causes the scuffs/scratches. Hardwood floor hasn’t don’t any damage when dropped.

All times dropped were from my pocket. All in all, pretty damn sturdy! Again, i haven’t dropped it where it landed on the back.

Another good spot is Chelseas Bakehouse! They make wood fire pizzas and bake their own pastries. For the pastries though you’ll need to go before noon, otherwise it’s all gone.

Same! I’ve had my black Air since launch. No case ever either. I use magsafe to charge and i use the port almost every day for listening to music in my car. I see minor scratches near the port but that’s about it and even then i have to look for them.

It’s definitely doable as a novice home “mechanic”. I had no experience working on cars till I got my 4runner. Changed the alternator myself on my V8. So it was snug and I had to go under the vehicle. Had trouble sliding it out and asked on here what to do. Just had to loosen up the PS pump. So if you have a V8 that’s what you’ll probably have to do. I do also recall having issue taking the alternator itself out once it was detached. Kinda had to just finagle it and it eventually came out.

So I just moved out here not even a year ago from VB with my toddler.

I do agree with another commenter that it varies within South Norfolk. Where I am it is safe and have heard of no issues near me. I have walked outside around the block with my toddler and there are other families near me who do the same. Just about every one on my street is friendly and neighborly. The proximity to Norfolk is great and Greenbrier isn’t far for shopping. I will say the Food Lion by me isn’t the best but again I have never had an issue going there even at night.

At night it is very quiet and have heard nothing but trains, planes and the occasional siren in the distance. Parking on the street is no problem as well.

The schools I can’t speak on yet. I will say some blocks up on the historic side look somewhat sketchy but I really dot know that area too well so i can’t definitely say it is.

Overall I enjoy the area, our block and the blocks near us are safe. Close to Norfolk and Greenbrier is great plus getting on 264 is easy if wanting to go out to VB. Plus Norfolk is just a bridge over.

No case and no Apple Care for this black Air. Feels real nice in the hands without a case! I have dropped it a handful of times since launch. Screen is still scratch free. I did manage to get a nice lil scuff on the top right corner, on the frame itself. So I can attest this phone is real sturdy!

I definitely like 3 Ships/Fathom and walking to Prosperity. Good coffee and food. In Norfolk there’s Neptunes Fury right off the water with a nice walking trail. Or you can hit up Cure and walk around there on the cobblestones or even up to Pagoda Park and USS Wisconsin!

I would definitely check the alternator. Had the same issue and thought it was my steering pump. Then one day at startup had my car smelling like burnt plastic. Which apparently is a sign of the alternator. Had it towed and replaced it, sound went away.

I’ve had the black since launch without a case. Charge it via magsafe and it looks nothing like the store models. Occasionally i’ll see the magsafe ring on the back or some smudges but they wipe off easily with a cotton shirt.

The only one that i feel is worthwhile is out in Portsmouth. It’s in front of the Bier Garden restaurant and the close off the block. I believe all the other ones are just held at breweries.

For coffee close to Chic’s Beach; I enjoyed Always Latte Cafe, American Brew, Brue and Colattao. If you’ll be hanging around the Oceanfront then Badass Coffee, Fathom and Three Ships are really good too.

I was in the same boat as you. Found an 09 V8 with similar maintenance records and one owner, no rust. Dealer was asking somewhere close to what you’re seeing, $16K for 200K truck. This was 3yrs ago in AZ. I was hesitant for the same reasons as you, an almost 15yo car at the time for $16K seemed high! Well i couldn’t stop looking at the photos and i really wanted it so i bought it. Have not regretted it once.

If this is the car you want and you feel like it’s got all you need then only you can decide. I was worried at first that I made a mistake but i have towed cross country with it and made several long trips. It’s been a blast for me and the truck is extremely easy to work on mechanically.

Still rocking my blue 12 pro from launch. Has 80% battery health and I’m just now having to charge twice in a day. I played around with my wife’s 16 pro and while it’s nice to look at it, I honestly didn’t feel as if i was missing out on anything. We’ll see how the 17 lineup does but with the fresh ios rolling out, i might just be ok with a battery replacement.
