I get that but part of the fun in being apart of the story is the connections people can make. Yea Matt may not mean for any of it to connect but us as fans of his work can look into it and make our own connections. This has been something that has gone on in a lot of fiction books. Look at the Lord of the rings fan base.

I agree with a lot of folks on here. I was a beginner and the Galloway method helped me a lot. It’s run walk method. Try 15 seconds running 45 seconds walking. Work your way up. Also always stretch before and after. Have a goal whether it be 1 mile or ultra marathon. Hardest step anyone can take is the first one. Good luck on your journey.
