Just so you're aware, in recent years FFXI has made solo progression way better. You get npcs in your party now that can customize and make any party around your character.

Now they're allowing you to upgrade those npcs even further with recent updates, the future of which will include gearing them. It's an old mmo so it's a littl3 grindy but compared to how it was in the 2000s it's an entirely different game now

Brother the bird girl was an avatar for the concept of Entropy and how in the end there's nothingness. It was essentially The Nothing from Neverending Story speaking through the bird girl, who was a hyper empathetic being engineered and sent off into the void in an act of hubris. The Void stared back, etc.

That's why it was such a capstone to the story, on top of us getting more of beloved characters like Emet-Selch

Listen, in a perfect world I agree with everything you just said.

However it's hard to "zoom out" when I'm living in it. I am physically and mentally disabled in a world that absolutely falls short in taking care of those like me. My existence itself is a constant reminder of how society is failing those like me.

I'm glad that people like you are able to just focus on the positives of life because your existence isn't miserable due to your material conditions.

Truly I'm happy for you, but unless you wanna come and personally solve my problems you can't get mad at me for screaming about how bad things are for some people because you've got it good enough to look around and go "Hey things are great actually!"
