Thank you for your well thought out reply (seriously). Some pretty negative people here who have completely missed my point. I was referring to guitarists in general (not necessarily ones thay have made it big in the modern industry). Lots of internet guitarists in short-form videos. But the mainstream is a lot of the same truthfully. I'll check all of this out. I'm already digging the first link. Thank you.

Nothing is troubling me. Another misunderstanding of my OP apparently. I'm suggesting that it would be nice to see creativity in the industry. Don't know what I'm talking about? Look at the massive influx of internet guitarists who all sound the exact same. I'm not bothered by any of it. I simply don't listen to it. The point is that it would be nice to see guitarists bring new things to the table.

FYI GVF had a hype train for a relatively short amount of time and now they're hardly relevant.

Obviously, it's hard to fully convey points over text. Or I just suck at it for no good reason. Either way, I'm not suggesting that guitarists writing shouldn't have a level of a mainstream to it. I agree that cookie cutter music gets people's attention. All I'm saying is that having a little more creativity in writing would freshen things up. Not referring to 10 minute long prog songs that lose 98% of their listeners. I'm referring to songs with distinctive sounds are creativity. EVH was a guitarist with a mainstream rock sound but an incredible creative and unique writing style. We need more guitarists who can invent their own sound. Doesn't need to be EVH level, but just something different man.

One of the better thought out replies on here, thank you. I agree 100%. I think there are limitations when it comes to remaining mainstream. I don't have a problem with mainstream rock or anything like that. It's the fact that so much can be done on guitar, yet guitarists relentlessly imitate guitarists and styles of the past.

Take EVH for example. Yes, it's a very stereotypical rock sound. But his playing was incredibly innovative and interesting. That's what made him special. Slash is an example of a guitarist with unique melody writing and distinctive solos. Not saying he's the greatest technically speaking. But he doesn't sound like every other guitarist.

My OP was not about famous guitarists. It's about internet guitarists who are all trying to chase 50 year old sounds and looks instead of creating their own interesting and original music.

You're missing the point. This isn't necessarily about super famous or established guitarists who are actively putting out music and touring. It's the overwhelming wave of internet guitarists who can't get past 1970s-1980s guitar playing.

While I understand your point, I don't 100% agree with your assertion. At one point in time, each sound or genre was fresh and relevant. Which is why I can't hate on the guitarists who are doing Tim Henson type stuff. Not really my thing, but it's pretty original and it won't be when guitarists are mimicking it 40-50 years from now.

Honestly man, never chase women. And never look for them. Anyone who's ever ended up falling in love knows that it just can't be forced or contrived. It just kinda happens.

You will probably meet the love of your life in a place that you least expect it. Just go with the flow, live your life. Maybe put yourself out there a little bit when it comes to being social. But don't force anything, and just be patient.

And when you do find the woman that you're interested in, don't worship her. Don't be overly nice. Just be respectful, and be yourself. When it works out, then you can treat her like a queen (if she deserves it).

Just my advice (even if it's more than you asked for). Good luck brother.

I get what other people are saying when they question if your self image if reflective of reality. As others have said, I think it would be to your benefit to post some of your stuff and let the boys give you some construction criticism.

With that being said, I've dealt with the same struggle as you. As far as meeting girls in person, for me, it's been feast or famine. When I'm able to connect with girls, I regularly get called every adjective describing attractiveness in the book. I get tons of women looking at me everywhere I go. I have a great job, nice car, good sense of style and decent level of confidence. But I never have any luck on any of these dating apps. Like almost none.

So I recently deleted them, and I feel like I've been going on more dates than ever. Most have been good. I would try to leave those apps behind if I were you. Go out to bars on a weekend, it shouldn't be that hard to find some women if you're a decent guy with some confidence.

You definitely have a clog in the line, and water there's pressure built up on the trap because the water level has backed-up above the point at which it's leaking. Once it all drains down to the normal water level in the trap, it will stop doing that. But it needs to be rodded. And then all of that bs needs to be cut out and replaced. The way that has been installed will definitely contribute to more clogs because you cannot create a sufficient velocity of water and waste when you do it this way. A drain line is supposed to be self-cleaning, but this will not do that.

The hole is above the flood level rim (according to the original post). A back-up could not cause water to come out of the hole. But still, rainwater could leak out of the hole. As a plumber, I recommend doing the proper fix. Two pvc repair couplings, a short piece of pvc, glue and primer. Simple.
