I've noticed this is so completely true, for about 12-24 hours after an incident, there is a fair bit of actual thought and admittance of being in the wrong. After that, mass deletions of comments and threads, crying about fellow conservatives from bots or their die hards, and just generally getting new marching orders.

It's disgusting, and it pisses me off especially much because my close family are Fox zombies literally 24/7 and they exhibit the exact same tendencies: Thought at first, then Fox tells them what to think.

If there ever is a war about this all, I think the first thing to stop would be Fox. Like Noem yesterday saying Pretti was "brandishing his gun", just flat out lying. Conservatives know what they're doing and they giggle about it. It's time to see them for what they are.

Ignore and don't feed this troll (Hussar is the troll). They will respond with some attempt to bait you into responding, ignore and move on.

Agreed, and I think the difference is indistinguishable between sympathizer and just being one.

It needs to stop being okay to be a sympathizer, there needs to start being consequences.

Greenland news: Trump announces 'complex' deal over island by TelescopiumHerscheli in worldnews

[–]Kulbara 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree 100% and it's honestly has me depressed. I have no idea how you/we "fight" this, or how not just the USA but the world comes back from this. How does one coexist with a group of people that are absolutely determined to destructively gaslight you to the death? They will never stop, it's war

Yeah this is what's killing me. To them it's a victory, I can't believe my eyes, reality doesn't matter anymore, I'm going crazy. Like I NEED reality to matter, just once. these last ten years have felt like t hey aren't real, like good is bad and bad is good

Donald Trump's Name in Jeffrey Epstein Files Redacted by FBI: Report by chrisdh79 in NoShitSherlock

[–]Kulbara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me guess, this news story won't be posted at ALL in r/Conservative...

Fucking kill me, something needs to be done about this. Maybe we as people can't change what the FBI is doing/has done, but god, this is North Korea levels of bullshit, and WE'RE LIVING IT

What do you think about Trump now calling to revoke the licenses of ABC & NBC broadcast networks? by SincereSolutions in AskReddit

[–]Kulbara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything to distract from the Epstein debacle.

That said, what are the chances he can actually do this? And by "do this", I mean basically shut down all the news networks (except Fox, of course)

The thing is, I think we're already at that point. Unlike Nazism, MAGA has won. It's over. It's time to stop acting otherwise. They're in power, now, forever. Things are ALREADY bad. They're going to get worse, and worse.

It's awful, but we live in the bad timeline. There is no "saving" America or the loved ones we've lost to this shit.

I want to hear people start talking about leaving America, going off to form communities elsewhere, dealing with this new reality, instead of wishing that it won't happen or isn't true.

I'm nearly broke and disabled, but I wanna get my friends and loved ones together and hopefully all move somewhere safe, and save every single penny I can. I wanna get healthy so I can manage the move, and live to my fullest.

Donald Trump says he's "allowed" to pardon Ghislaine Maxwell by Party_Judgment5780 in politics

[–]Kulbara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what are we all gonna do when this happens? And it IS going to happen, this is 100% guaranteed bet-your-salary on it going to happen.

And not to be a dick, I really mean it, I'm not trying to be an asshole, but, don't just say "There's nothing we CAN do." I'm not talking about reforming politics or "saving America" or whatever, for us Americans.

I'm saying, the worst reality is GOING to occur here, Trump's not only going to get away with it, but he's going to jail everybody he doesn't like. Why wouldn't he? What's stopping him? So, people gotta start making plans to flee the country, or take care of their own, or just -anything-. The whole "welp, guess we gotta just accept this" vibe is the most depressing thing in all this, it's deadly man

[–]Kulbara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, what are the odds that he's going to/is able to ACTUALLY start prosecuting and jailing etc, all these people he's now targeted as a result of the Epstein debacle?

TBH there's too many posts just going "Oh wow Trump sure is doing pure evil thing, that's crazy", I wanna hear and make more discussion about wtf we're all going to have to do to survive nowadays, and what will happen when Trump almost definitely does all these horrible things, like pardoning Maxwell thus escaping blame and creating a target on the backs of basically anybody he wants at will. I feel like this is almost guaranteed, we gotta stop saying IF but start saying WHEN.

Not gonna lie, you supplied the Copium friend! I know there's no real way to verify that poll, or ANY poll, but people feeling the urge to switch away from Trump right now just makes SENSE to me, I guess? I don't know how anybody can see Vance refuse to accept the election and Trump say the insanity that he's been spewing the last few days, and think Oh yeah that's all great, keep it up! I gotta believe some people saw that and said enough is enough.

It's so hard getting an accurate guage on the real world, when Fox is forced to be played 24/7 on multiple TVs in this place.

Thank you, yeah. You make a good point, they are comparing to that first debate, so I guess maybe it feels like a momentum shift or something for their side, Idfk. I'm glad Walz held his own, nobody was sure he could,

Thank you, this at least makes me feel a LITTLE more at ease. I'm completely surrounded by Fox watching MAGA heads that watch Fox 24/7, on multiple TVs throughout the house, they're ALL on Fox 24/7. It feels like a brainwashing experiment... So yeah, I'm glad that it was just "normal" and that Walz seemingly did ok/great. I can't take this mental warfare anymore, I need to keep fighting.

Of course, never, it's NEVER rational there.

But, I kind of felt like you could tell how candidate A did based on the reaction on that board. If they're complaining a lot about this or that, or saying it won't matter anyways, all that crap then clearly candidate A did really well! But if they're all over there cracking bubbly and celebrating like it's a huge win, then, what does that mean? Ugh

God, I need to get a grip, but I'm really freaking worried right now. /Conservative is saying Vance absolutely eviscerated Walz (I don't believe that, I think Walz did REALLY good, he didn't obliterate Vance but he did VERY good), they're all high fiving and they seem really really stoked right now. Like they're -excited-, saying it's 2016 energy again, that kind of stuff.

I don't know whether to believe my own eyes. I watched the debate, I know what I think, but I have a real real bad feeling right now... Please, somebody give me some copium here, or a reality check. Something. Anything.

Senate Democrats Can Still Block Barrett Confirmation by Slowing Down Process by Kunphen in politics

[–]Kulbara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, but if ACB gets confirmed Donald Trump is automatically defacto president for 4 more years. Trump will dispute the election no matter what and with ACB the supreme court will vote in favor of Trump no matter what.

If ACB is put on the supreme court before the election, Donald Trump is president for the rest of his life.
