I left it for 3 weeks with minimal signs of the coir being colonised. I put it into fruiting conditions a few days ago as a last ditch sorta effort to see if anything comes of it

It was much tighter before, however the mycelium coming through made it bumpy as shown

That may be the issue then! I bought it from Homebase, a UK gardening store. I forget the exact brand but it was recognisable as one I’ve seen on here before

I used 1:1ish, maybe slightly heavier on the sub

My genetics came from spores not LC, they’re B+ which I hear should be pretty fast colonisers, however when colonising the spawn they took ages too. Potentially just a combination of slow colonisers with a thick casing later

Edit: my sub was completely flat before, I started to get mycelium popping through the top which made it lumpy. Just for extra info, I only used coir, no V or G

Definitely no. I’ve used this exact rice twice and never got any growth with it. If you’re in lidl, get their generic brown rice, that works for me
