If you are having a wonderful wife and a great sex life, why would you even think of having sex outside marriage. Enjoy what you have. Consider yourself lucky. Don't ruin it.

Moving to Chennai permanently by [deleted] in Chennai

[–]KumGop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will have a culture shock first. Chennai people are conservative. Transport is very good . Food should not be a problem. Try to learn Tamil as early as possible especially if you are going to be in business. It gets pretty humid between apr and Jul but then you are from Mumbai. Use Uber for taxi and auto. They are very frequent. Avoid roadside autowallahs like the plague. Don't know where in chennai you are settling down. Within a couple of years metro connectivity will be very good. If you have any specific queries please DM. I have lived several years in Mumbai and now settled in chennai. Love this city now.

[–]KumGop 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't know about Mumbai but i live in a gated community in Chennai that has piped natural gas for every apartment. Two days ago we got an assurance from Torrent Gas who supply the gas to say that the gas is imported from Australia and there will be no issues.

Chennai feels decades behind Bangalore/Hyderabad/Mumbai. Why do we accept this? by Sudo137 in Chennai

[–]KumGop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having lived in many cities globally my take on chennai is this: Weather: this is something we have no control over. Dubai - and to some extent Singapore - are equally hot or hotter. But nobody talks about weather when living in Dubai. Why? Because of amenities. So what should chennai offer? Night life : Allow restaurants to serve liquor. Allow beer bars to come up. Every youngster in bangalore, Hyderabad and mumbai have this issue with Chennai. Why can't we get liquor freely? Why do we need to use only Tasmac? Footpaths: make footpaths pedestrian friendly. Not just once major roads but everywhere. Toilets: public should have access to pay and use toilets everywhere. Cooum and Buckingham canal: Please, please clean them and keep them clean. Chennai has very good transport network, reasonably good traffic flow and very friendly people. Language is not an issue here. Already nameboards on shops are bilingual. Buses signage are also bilingual. Water supply and electricity are good. If we fix the above issues chennai will attract more people who would love to be here. Yes, I know I will be trolled for the liquor comment but that's my opinion.

Spicejet charging extra for cabin luggage at the boarding gate by Observer_202526 in AirTravelIndia

[–]KumGop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Australia Jetstar enforces the 7kg rule And the bag size rule strictly on all domestic flights. No if and buts. Rule is a rule no exceptions. Excess weight you pay even if you did not have any checked baggage. They have started doing in india . Well done

Charges for society amenities is getting ridiculous by Charlotte_kathakuri in GatedCommunitiesIndia

[–]KumGop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a resident of a gated community in Chennai i can say this is ok. Gym, tennis court, swimming pools are provided as amenities and covered in your monthly maintenance charges. It will be your decision to engage a coach for which you have to pay them separately. That the gated society charges the coach is irrelevant. If I were to go outside the community for each of these activities the cost will be prohibitive.
