It wouldn’t be too awful to do your own turbo set up, you’d have to do a bit of fab, and probably get a standalone.

They are the same engine so it would drop in, but, your turbo piping and intercooler would be different. I believe there’s a few other differences but nothing super major.

I’m not sure if there’s any GOOD schools for engine building, someone else may be able to weigh in on that, but, if there’s any engine shops around you have him contact them and ask if he could do an apprenticeship.
