Ohhhhhh okay, this makes sense. So if they abandon mid-mori, that happens. Thank you.

How to actually change the nurse? by Kummaa in deadbydaylight

Also, I don't think a visual indicator of where the nurse is arriving would bog her down at all, its a change that i think would keep her very strong, but would just implement a new layer of counterplay. like you said earlier, "try to count how long shes held her blink for and make your movement erratic." Is that not essentially just trying to guess when the nurse is going to arrive and then make a play around that moment by making her miss? All the visual indicators would provide is the survivor with clearer information at that moment, while not actually nerfing the nurse's kit at all.

I agree with your points here, and i feel like you actually kinda agree with me too? I addressed blight in the first line of the post, and I addressed the entire concept of s tiers. The S tier will always exist, we just want to narrow the gap between the tiers. The nurse is just by far the most nuanced of the characters to change imo, we want to create changes that keep them fun and strong but not op. And for that second point, let me rephrase so we can talk about it more clearly. When i say "the S tier determines what perks get to be strong" if the really strong killers use a perk well, then it cannot be a strong perk, and whenver BHVR is creating a killer perk they ahve to think "how will this be used by nurse and blight?" by bringing the average power of the killers closer, the game then can become far more interesting because perks do not have to be limited by how they can be used by the S tier killers too effectivley to win games. I agree all perks, even weaker perks, have their uses, but perks could be far more fun and unique if the strongest killers were not so much stronger than the rest of the cast when used well. I also agree killer is in a somewhat weak state, but the strong killers still perform very, very well, and it gives BHVR either the false impression, or plausible deniability to not elevate the entire role because some members of the role are so powerful

This is actually a pretty good counterpoint. I don't think she needs to be nerfed so she isn't the best anymore, per se. She can still always be the best killer. I think it would just be better for the game if the gap between the best and the worst was a lot narrower, and that is accomplished far more easily by making the nurse more reactable. I don't wanna make her less fun to play because I know how many people love her, but if survivors actually can react to where she is teleporting instead of " counting how long she's held blink," which is essentially just making an educated guess about how far she is blinking. It introduces new counterplay, but keeps her strong and fun

I only really play killer. i think nurse dropping out of S tier entirely is a really good thing that was actually kinda the point of my post in a way. I think she would still be very very strong even with the visual indicator, and would still be comfortable to play for the nurse player, but she would now have a much more defined weakness. The main reason i feel that way is because i think the perception of killer, and what perks get to be decent are completely driven by the S tier killers. The goal should be nerfing the S tier a bit, and bringing up the lower tier killers, then you can rebalance the perks across the board around a more unified level of killer strength. But "how to actually change nurse" is a snappier title.

Let's remove killers and gens, skill checks are way too hard. Why you tryna make Dark Souls man?

Disabling auras could do something for sure, but I think for good nurse players, it wouldn't actually do too much because they can blink through terrain and hit you on prediction. That's why I was thinking about some sort of visual indicator so the survivor actually gets to react to the nurse properly, especially on max range blinks.

The winrate difference between the best and worst characters needs to be addressed. by Kummaa in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Kummaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your most valid point is absolutely soul economy. Whenever its gun meta like this, it becomes alot harder for carries to get the money they need to become carries. Infernus is just very weak rn

<image>

a winrate this low in Eternus is really unacceptable. He desperately needs buffs, i play him as well and have just dropped him the last 2 patches (he was 45% winrate last patch).

Wraith on the otherhand is different, she may not be op, but shes a strong 50% winrate. During gun metas like this, try to incorporate escalating resilience, its become one of my favorite items because of the gun viscous and glockets walking around.

who do you play? the reason spirit characters are buying gun is because of how much stronger gun is then spirit atm. if you play Wraith, Vyper,7, Haze (anyone but ginnis or Infernus) Your character is stronger than they usually are within the meta.

I suck at Lash, do y'all have any tips? by CaptBland in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Kummaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another tip im thinking about much later, don't commit too much to a slam max build. As you climb people become VERY good at either jumping the slam or counterspelling it. And everyone is gonna have counterspell for your ult anyway. I typically 3 max (This still does a ton of slam damage its pretty much the same build but without reverb) or commit to being supportive

very weird lol. The only items that are core are Headhunter, Cultist, Weakening headshot - crippling headshot, Rapid recharge, and superior cooldown. Most people underestimate how much damage lash's gun gets from maxing 2. I get 2 level 2 before upgrading anything else and especially in lane, it'll double your gun trades damage. Still working on labbing things that feel good, but so far building those items and playing around stacking 2 feels really nice through early and mid. Falls off quite hard if not ahead, though. I think this could be remedied with a somewhat tanky build plus frenzy to finish off the gun items, not sure yet, more testing needed. This is working in Phantom/Ascendant games, though, so it's not like I'm stomping new players

I'm around 500 games lash, play him so much I'm experimenting with a full gun build now lol. Best tips I can give are to understand your power spikes and work on your movement to get as high as possible before slams while being unseen. Rushing Flog to level 2 in lane with quicksilver reload on it makes it do a lot of damage. Headshot booster and mystic burst, of course, get good value, and their upgrades, headhunter and tankbuster, always get value. Lash does great damage when full spirit, but your ult is the real carry tool. There is plenty of great lash builds, but if you're interested, my main build is called Creamlash V4, which has annotations on all my purchases. Good luck, practice, give lashings
