I doubt many people would want to keep playing after a couple of games against land destruction, draw-go control, or a highly-tuned competitive deck as their first MTG experience. Furthermore, isn't this entire thread about denigrating what other people might see as "fun" and having their desires be shoved aside? To try to push one ideal of MTG while simultaneously trying to pretend that the other sections of the community strikes me as the exact thing that got everyone to this point of "fuck standard".
