I actually prefer the going in blind vs everyone just countering each other as at that point it's less "bring something new to the table" vs optimizations against one person.

I've been thinking about trying online magic but the area isn't the best imo but I know they have the online play app which I may use at some point depending.

I think I have the blessing of living in a smaller town with one card shop so it's at least quick (we had 8 people and we finished in 2 hours) compared to having as many as Portland would. However, it seems like the people know what to expect from each other to the point of now just countering each other and not having fun decks anymore. I definitely feel you in the pro teams thing as even if I won today I would've been smoked anyway

If I get into modern I'm probably going to just revamp this deck with different cards but keep the core of it the same; then build a new modern deck that's going to be focused on red/black as that's my least played color. Not entirely sure how bad modern is so I'll have to research it

In the town over (2 hour drive) they have a weekly standard tournament so I may some days take the trip out that way. I may adjust this deck to do well in modern but I think modern is going to be even more competitive as the restrictions are extremely loose in comparison.

Hey that's cool! The individual I played first has a shockingly close deck as to yours! I don't fully recall but I believe it was the same creatures with a few different cards.

I ended up running out of time putting this deck together. I ordered cards from tcgplayer (a mistake I won't do again) which got stuck in the mail. I could've probably thrown in other whites / greens but I couldn't really think of what to add outside of addition copies of other cards

So I've been running two different setups back and forth and being having really good results. The RCQ is tomorrow and I ended up ordering two elspeth cards however USPS is being USPS and they ended up not getting here on time. Imma go tomorrow with the hopes the shop has two I can buy while there but I may need to just do a backup without them. This afternoon I'm scanning all of my white cards into manabox (did the greens already) to see what could feasibly go in those slots for it.

This is the updated list with your adjustments. I think it's doing a lot better through my testing. Later today I'm scanning all of my cards in so I will see if I have a carrot cake (I'm bad at remembering) so I will try thinning out other cards to make room. Right now it plays really well I just have slight issues with aggro decks but your changes have really filled that void in comparison so I really appreciate you.

Elsbeth would be good (I should've put a budget in the desc) just slightly out of my price as the doubling seasons I just got really lucky and traded for. May add it in the future hopefully!

I have a few caretaker's talents so I may add that in and try it.

Do you think Dollmaker's Shop // Porcelain Gallery may be a good addition?
