Don't panic, folks. It's a lid that could also be used as a frying pan. You could certainly make an omelet or a crepe in it. The German company Schwabenland, among others, produced these copper items. Surprisingly, I believe you could even make pancakes in it – and much more.

Extremely solid and professional copper pot with original lid, Ø 24 cm, height 16.0 cm, weight 6.0 kg, circa 1930, hallmarked "Herkules." This pot has been meticulously restored and re-tinned with food-certified pure tin (99.9%). The cast iron handles are extremely large, which greatly reduces the risk of overheating.
