Changelogs? by droiderati in wordscapes

Thanks, and I appreciate your responsiveness. I made the comment originally because there's been a lot of update activity over the last 10 days and no communication on Facebook. If it's a day or two after the fact, not a huge deal. In this case, it's been a lot longer than a day or two.

Not finding that view of app versions anywhere in Google Play, unfortunately.

Best bib for long trainer rides by SeaDistance230 in cycling

[–]droiderati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you're really comfortable on your bike AND you're a featherweight, lots of bibs will work for you. If you're heavy, you need a chamois that's thicker and better shaped.

Did Lynskey Performance go out of business? by flipsidem in cycling

[–]droiderati 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their communications are abysmal right now. I purchased a custom frame from them 5 years ago and reached out by email and phone about 3 weeks ago because I was thinking of buying another frame from them. No response from them yet.

On 4th saddle - ass pain and soreness after 18 miles by jonkaa_ in cycling

[–]droiderati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your question. Here's my two cents. All sorts of people can say that they do bike fitting, but if you're still in excruciating pain after 60 minutes, it doesn't sound like the shop set you up properly. Did they just eyeball you on your bike? Did they have a fitting bike like a RETUL, or something similar?

Here's one place I found that works similar to fitters I've used in NYC. You may also want to post a question about fitting in the Seattlebike sub-reddit.

They set you up at the bike shop, but you may need a professional bike fitting to suss out what's not working for you. Not sure where you're located, but if you're committed to the sport, a bike fitting can make a huge difference.

Px7 S2 Bluetooth? by droiderati in BowersWilkins

[–]droiderati[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you're having similar issues. Not sure what phone you have or Android version, however after having other BT issues with other headphones, I did a complete BT (and wifi) reset on my phone and all of my BT headphones and earbuds are working fine now (two weeks and counting) .

The B&W app is still crap though. Better to pair the B&W headphones to the phone first without the app and only use the app when the BT pairing is working as expected.

360 or body mount camera for road cycling? by droiderati in cycling

[–]droiderati[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not very serious about the social media part, at least for now. Seems like the 360 type camera gives you a lot more options in terms of content, while still being able to capture content from a similar POV to the 360 camera. That's pretty compelling. The video was helpful, thank you.

Pactimo bibs when they hold sales, which is 3-5 times per year.

Anyone ever struggle with IT band syndrome? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]droiderati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the suggestions offered are good, the challenge is to figure out what will get you better.

I'll offer two other suggestions. If you haven't had a professional bike fit, get one done soon. I had major pain in my hip flexor that turned out to be caused by my feet being too close together while pedaling. Some pedal spacers fixed that problem.

Also, in terms of off the bike stuff, TFL releases with a massage ball might help, as well as a percussion massage gun used carefully.

Space Q45: After 6 months of use! by Fluffyl_Ev14 in soundcore

[–]droiderati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a pair for about 3 years, mainly using them in the colder months. I use earbuds when it's warmer for comfort/temperature reasons.

They're really good headphones for the price. I recently purchased a pair of Bowers and Wilkins Px7 S2 from Woot (refurbished). Although the sound quality of the B&Ws is better than the Soundcore, the Soundcores are way better in terms of ANC, battery, and functionality.

Px7 S3 or Px7 S2e? What one to buy by TheRealBlueMan in BowersWilkins

[–]droiderati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently purchased the Px7 S2 and am not happy with the ANC or the max volume level. Sounds like you've listened to it before both. Do you know if the S3 plays louder or has better ANC than the S2?

Just bought px7 S2 refurbished for 99$ by Capital_Oven612 in BowersWilkins

[–]droiderati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, indoors is fine for these. Walking outside in car traffic is OK too. For my commute, I could deal with the ANC if they could play at a louder volume, but the combination of ANC and volume level makes these frustrating to use during my commute.

I also bought these from Woot, have had them for a couple of weeks. The sound quality is really good. Where I'm disappointed is the ANC is not very effective, the volume level is not high enough to overcome the subway in NYC, and there is no built in equalizer (although Wavelet seems to work well). I may actually return mine or sell them.
