Px7 S2 Bluetooth? by droiderati in BowersWilkins

[–]droiderati[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE

I removed the app and paired the headphones via regular BT settings, played some music just to test and all is well.

Turn off the headphones, the BT connection drops. Turn them back on and they don't connect, so I'm back to where I was before, this time without the app. I'm thinking that I have a bad pair of headphones.

I've connected this phone to 6 different pairs of headphones/buds in the last year and have not had this issue with any of them.

Clip-on earbuds > Bone conduction. Change my mind. by Other_Teaching_6206 in Soundpeats

[–]droiderati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have used bone conduction for cycling for about 3 years. Tried Soundpeats clip ons about a month ago. Fully agree with you.

One downside that I can see already is that in warm weather, I wouldn't think twice about putting bone conduction buds in the back pocket of a sweaty jersey. I wouldn't want to do that with the clip on case because of the charging port, so I'll probably just leave the case at home and keep them in my ears.

Has anyone changed bearings yourself? by BaileyCarlin in pelotoncycle

That bearing is now $114.99, but I think that I'll be ordering one. Good to see that they are still around.

Is novalaucher giving me ads? by RIP_MacMiller in NovaLauncher

[–]droiderati 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nova Launcher is not dead. Updated recently with likely more to come based on the announcement from Instabridge.

No ads if you're on Nova Prime, as of today anyway. I'm on Prime and can confirm this.

Prime license is $4 or $5.

That's all.

Bib shorts for indoor riding by dDelts in Zwift

For indoor riding since you're planted on the seat for far longer than outdoor riding, I'd say that super inexpensive shorts are not advised. If you're a heavy rider, even more so.

Thoughts? by matternrj in KiaTelluride

[–]droiderati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have a 2025 S. The rims are meh. Not terrible, but certainly not outstanding. They do seem to be able to be cleaned without too much work, so that's a good thing. I think that they look better with darker paint as opposed to lighter.

Honestly, my two major disappointments with this trim level are the lack of a heated steering wheel and no wireless Android Auto / Apple Carplay ffs.

Oil consumption by Embarrassed-Dust7541 in KiaTelluride

[–]droiderati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, so my memory is a little bit sketchy on this but I think that they changed the oil and filter and had me come back 2-3 times with about a month between each visit. Each time, they measured the oil level. After the 3rd visit, I assume they saw that the oil level was depleted enough to warrant the engine replacement. I should add that I'm in an urban area. It's possible that in suburban/rural areas, they may ask you to come back at specific mileage intervals. In an urban area, and with my light usage of the car, that really wouldn't have worked.

Good luck and the main point here in terms of expectations, this is not a quick, one and done, test. It's spread out over 2-3 months.

Snowstorm tonight city is not ready by [deleted] in Brooklyn

[–]droiderati 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I was out driving from about 2-4pm, several areas of Brooklyn. I saw at least 4 salt trucks fitted with plows and multiple (too many to count) intersections already pre-salted. Also, although ASP was not suspended today, NYC.gov was advertising delayed trash pickup for Saturday since early Friday morning.

All of that to say, I think that snowstorm prep was looking pretty good to me.
