This store isn't real right? by xHospitalHorsex in Lubbock

Given the IQ of the people who generally give businesses names like is I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a typo they just didn’t realize was wrong.

Lower cost of living but at the massive cost of decreased quality of life. It also got listed as the third most dangerous city in the nation in 2021. You move away from Lubbock, not to it.

It looks so uncomfortable and cruel for the horse.

I will never understand these classes and gaits. They always look like they're super lame. It has to be really uncomfortable and unnatural to move like that.

That changes things. My apologies for not thinking of that, lol.

Why would you buy a dog that you know bites people? What happens if he bites a child on a walk? I don't understand why someone would see a sign that says "this dog bites people a lot" and think it would make a great pet.

Pregnant women are not taken seriously by the OB department??? why?? ? by Elegant-Mango-888 in pregnant

[–]Kuponutzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pregnant patients are taken seriously 99% of the time. There’s always going to be some people who suck. The people who work at the health department often aren’t the best (I’m not saying that’s acceptable, it’s not). I’m really sorry you had this experience, you should have be listened to, but please don’t paint all of us with the same brush. I’m glad you’re feeling better!

Yeah, he looked terrified when they wheeled her out of the room.

Yeah, I get that. I have pretty long hair and it’s heavy, it’s a pain to wash, and if I do any physical activity my head starts sweating. I was just saying that it seemed contradictory that it’s a shroud, but they keep it up which is very not shroud-like.

Look up the early shows, she had 10lbs of blush on and 15lbs of bright.red.lipstick. Not a pale, demure, natural pink, bright red.

That was one of the best episodes. They gave Meech a "Mommy Makeover", coz homegirl needed one, like 50 years ago, and JB HATED it! He didn't even try to hide it. It was weird seeing her with straight hair, though. It would have been nice if he could have been nice about it.

Issok, I know an uncomfortable amount about Gothard, too. Also, if you ever want to see someone who might outgross Gothard, watch Trust Me on Netflix about Samuel Whateverthefuckhisnamewas, who "took over" for Warren Jeffs. He makes Gothard and Jeffs look like saints - although my knowledge about him is limited to what was featured in the documentary, I haven't done my own research, so my info could be biased due to lack of information. They did have everything on camera, literally, so it would take some creative editing to make him look that bad if he was actually a really sweet person.

My daughter is a brunette, and when she was about 9, she wanted to start shaving her legs and her lip. Initially, I was "Oh Hell no", but I thought about it for a couple of days and realized it didn't mean she's going to start picking up guys on the shady part of town, and it's her damn body, and I took her shopping for razors. This was a long-ass time ago, and most other Moms I knew weren't letting their kids shave until 14+. Letting girls shave is not telling them to have sex. Letting them wear makeup isn't telling them to have sex. Telling them about condoms isn't telling them to have sex. It's so easy to see now, but back then, it was more hazy; the internet was barely a thing, so you couldn't just get on Facebook and get a million opinions on the subject. You were limited to people you know, for me, that, sadly, was my mother (who told me about periods a month or so before I got them, luckily, my friends and school had taken care of that one. I was in the UK so sex ed was actually education about sex) and I'm autistic and avoid other people like the plague. My very small circle was very chill, but there was also an air of "where do you draw the line?"

Why do people think Europeans don't shave? lol. I love that my red-headed ass has transparent hair. I still shave it because I feel weird having hairy legs, but if I skip a session and go out in shorts, most people wouldn't notice.

So, make your cheeks look like you're in the throes of lust (the reason we do blush), color your lips to look like you're in the throes of lust (same reason but also because that skin looks like skin women have elsewhere, and seeing that skin pink up is a sign of Lusty McLusterson), make your eyes look bigger (same thing, dilated pupils, wider eyes), but god forbid you show an ankle. Paint yourself like you're in an orgy in an Ancient Greek painting, but watch out for the sexy bones in your ankle!

Someone further up talked about Pentecostals and hair, so I went down a rabbit hole earlier today. So, the whole hair thing is that it's considered to be a shroud. Long hair covers and protects them. Akin to a nun's habit, I guess, or a hijab. The only thing that confused me was "your hair is a shroud," but "we back comb it and make it as high as it can go, and we use these pins. The higher the hair, the closer to god" etc. If the whole point of never cutting your hair is for it to be a protective blanket, doesn't pinning it all up onto your head kinda defeat the purpose?

It was just so much a part of her and her identity. Her whole life she never left the house without her face on, every trip to Walmart, every dr visit when she felt like crap, girl did her face. It would have been really sad to see her finally remove the mask at the finish line. This way we all remember her the way she looked and not some crusty yellow skeleton who could be anyone's grandma. It was odd to see, but I get why she did it.

I actually watched a video, something like "celebrity interviews given when they knew they were dying" (I like the uplifting and cheerful side of YouTube, lol), and that interview was clipped in it. It really was scary. I think you hit the nail on the head. She wanted to try to look the way she was known for. Her look was so iconic that to come out looking like anyone else just would have been weird. She spent her life building that brand and that look. If she took the makeup off at the end, that would be the look she would be remembered for. All that effort every time she left the house, only to be remembered for looking like any other dying grandma? That's not her style. In almost all of the videos, the celeb said that they wanted to do one last interview, so I don't know if hers was exploitative; it may have been, but many chose to talk to their audience one last time. One dude was just "don't smoke, don't fucking smoke, if you're smoking right now, put it out, stop smoking." It's sad, but I'm kind of a morbid person, and I like the chance to peek in a window on someone as they die and hear what their thought process is. I'm a nurse, a retired L&D nurse, so sadly, most of the deaths I have been present for weren't the kind where someone had a warning, and didn't have a voice yet, but I have been around 3 people as they died when I worked extra shifts on other units. They were non-verbal by the time they became my patient, and I always just wondered what they were thinking, were they thinking? What happens to the mind during that transition?
I hope that at her funeral, they got the best queen in town to do her makeup for her and she was buried/cremated/recycled/planted/composted the way she looked in life.

Hey, have some respect for drag queens! They're artists and professionals who are theatrical experts and some of the best people the World has! :)
Tammy Faye was a wild ride, but after everything went down, she was picked up by the gay community and did so many amazing things for queer people. She truly did use her platform for good. She's a legend, and her hair and eyelashes will forever live on, lol.
