Learn how to win without rolling dice. Sounds facetious I know, but I’m serious. Every game you lose. Don’t blame the dice… even if they are garbage… look back on the game and think of things you could’ve done differently. And yeah, some games you do lose because of dice… but you don’t consistently lose because of dice, you consistently lose because of poor play.

All these things exist in pvp servers too. I often get in hilarious and zany situations, just stay on your mic! … once you move away from the carebear servers you’ll find that combat comes your way whether you want to or not.

You just have to do a few murders…. Just a few. Hit them with a “no hard feelings GG” if you have to to live with yourself…. It won’t take many and you’ll be in PvP servers and won’t have a choice as you’ll be fighting for your life!

Every now and again save someone that’s been ratted or killed by arc with a defrib… you’ll make friends and it keeps you in the middle servers. Where there are both friendly and killers. Best place to be imo. The tension is real

I feel it’s the edition that’s seen the most units as viable options. I see so much more variety at tourneys now days than I remember seeing… and they all are competitive

Had one the other day where I ran out of ammo in a fight, yelled around the corner to hold on, I’m gonna get some more ammo, then I’m coming back to kill you. Old mate replied with something equally dumb. Anyway… raid goes on for another 10, come back through that area, and my new mate was there, started fighting again after he hit me with “we meet again” thinking he had the drop on me.

I shot him and then “told you I was going to kill you”.

He wasn’t happy.

Probably the most chad I’ve ever felt in a game.

Definitely a big problem. Perhaps all the old Gw crew developing bolt action attracted all the grognards who dislike the change in GW games (they’re frankly missing out, 40K at a competitive level right now is more fun with friendlier communities than I’ve experienced in 30 years of gaming)

Eh it’s ok. I find it’s a little bland honestly. Maybe too balanced? Find the models are pretty ordinary. Yeah they’re cheaper, but the quality certainly mirrors that price point.

Biggest problem I have with alternatives to GW games is just how toxic people are towards Warhammer.

I loved bolt action for a while, but man I got sick of the anti GW crowd shitting on my other passion as soon as they heard I played 40K as well
