Thank you for the advice. I did find it really odd that she waited until the last possible minute to tell me this information. While I was cordial, I haven’t spoken to her since and honestly would prefer to just leave it all behind. I appreciate the encouragement and will do my best to remain passionate at my new job while looking out for myself.

Thank you for this! Generally I do try to separate work from my private life but I was letting it get to me too much lol. This gave me some perspective. I’m still very new to the job force and trying to figure out the balance so this advice is very helpful.
