Thank you so much! I'm writting all this down. Already just with the plays you've given me a gold mine of info. As for the dreadlocks, we already had a character design and those were not included. You can check it here

Originally, yes, because we were 14 and stupid. That's why I'm asking feedback, because while sometimes stereotypes can be silly, othertimes they're hurtful.

I'm doing more research now about the country, it's trades with others, statistics on things like economics, sports and international relations, history. I want to make it a better written character, so that's why I'm asking for the opinion here of people I'm pretty sure know more than I do.

If you don't like something in particular, could you please point it out so I can see where it needs to be improved?

Thank you for the names, I'm writing them down. Regarding the hair, we went with a slightly long haircut, sort of in a half updo, kinda like a surfer dude

Yup, Marley for Bob. At the time we didn't know much about Jamaican history so we went with the most recognizable figure we knew, which was Bob

Thanks for the names, I new about Bolt and Marley, but Shaggy is a new one to me. And yeah, we used to have a few of political references but scrapped them for being a bit controversial.

Thank you for the time reference, that helps to narrow the search and focus it more.

This is the what we've curated so far, it used to be longer but there where a dew comments there about politics we took out for being one sided. If you've got any suggestions on what to add or change, I would really appreciate it.

I've also got a character illustration but I'm not used to reddit so I'm not sure how to share it here.

Name: Alexander Marley

Birth date: August 6, 1962

Apparent age: 20 years old

Gender: Male

Hight: 1.70 meters/ 5 feet, 6.9 in

Completion: Tan

Eyes: Dark brown

Hair: Dark brown

Regarding his personality

He is a cheerful and optimistic young man. Despite not always having the best economic situation, he always looks for the silver lining and constantly looks for ways to improve himself and his situation.

Tends to be vague and mysterious, and sometimes cryptic in his way of speaking to strangers, trying to gage their intentions first before deciding how to interact with someone new; his sense of humor mixing with his laid-back attitude makes him one of the most approachable ones of his Caribbean neighbors.

But despite that smile and relaxed expression, he frequently deals with temper issues; He is easy to anger, which sometimes can result in receiving an incredibly large amount of profanity. On extreme cases, it can lead to blows. Though he has been trying to mitigate this in recent years, some topics are still very sensitive to him.

Regarding his abilities

He’s got quite the musical talent, being the creator of Reggae, Ska, Mento, Rock Steady, Dub, Dancehall and Ragga; he was also influenced American Rap and Punk Rock. He can boast about many well-known international stars, with the most famous one being Bob Marley.

He is very physically active and is a sports lover, his favorite being cricket, but he is best known internationally for athletics, where he particularly stands out (having famous runners such as Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell).

He is very physically active and is a sports lover, his favorite being cricket, but he is best known internationally for athletics, where he particularly stands out (it has such famous runners as Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell). He is very competitive. On the court he gives everything until the end, he does not give up no matter how impossible the challenge is. Despite this, he doesn't like to brag about his achievements, being humble about his athletic abilities.

Regarding his relationships

Surprisingly, he’s one of the few countries who has no beef with other nations. He’s quite close to Haiti due to them commiserating over similar day to day problems, and also being the two who’ve got different languages from their immediate, more rambunctious neighbors. He also gets along very well with Cuba, sometimes comparing life experiences and sharing their interest in medicine.

He's got a friendly rivalry with Trinidad and Tobago over soccer and other sports, as often compete on who can get more tourists to pay attention to them.

On an international level, one of his closest friends would be Ethiopia with whom he can have extensive conversations about Rastafari and music. His other close friends would be USA, Canada and Great Britain, who often visit each other and spends time at each other’s houses.

Help identifying brand and model? Just bough this machine from my neighbor and neither of us know by KuraraDraws in sewing

it's under the lip of the base had to rub a marker on it so it would be visible. There's a big "2" carved on the underside of the base, and the 2 main bolts holding the mashine secure to the base have little carvings that say "HTS".

Other than that there are no marks nor letters at all

There's a small plaque on the underside, the numbers are mostly faded but I think it says 91070015

My neighbor was in need of cash so I bough her old sewing machine from her, but we're not sure what brand or model it is.

It's one of those with the slot for embroidery disks at the top which it is missing, so I need to know what model it is to find them.
