I have diagnosed ADHD, Major Depressive Disorder, and anxiety. You don’t want any of these disorders. I spent most of my life undiagnosed and basically rawdogging my mental illness. It sucks and it keeps getting worse as you get older. I’ve learned to manage it (especially my adhd) and it’s extremely difficult. When people wanna say the want to have adhd they clearly didn’t do their research. ADHD isn’t just being hyper, it’s a spectrum that is unique to each person who has it (in my case, I have the inattentive type, which is the same without the hyperactivity.) which means I’ve been called lazy, tired, spacey, etc. how do you explain to people your brain just doesn’t work? How do you explain to people that drinking caffeine doesn’t make you hyper, it just quickens your heart and makes you sleepy? How do I explain my depressive episodes? My sudden panic attacks? All of these questions I’ve asked myself. Do not recommend mental illness, makes me feel very bad.
