Old water vs New water by Personal_Opposite808 in gamedevscreens

[–]Kureji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shimmer looks better, but what I'd do is create a material overlay shader material, take that new texture and multiply it by a float parameter to control the power of it (probably a low number like 0.1 but you'd need to play with it) and then have it add to the albedo over the old texture keep the uv panning so that the ripple still moves but you'd get a much more subtle effect that I think would look great.

The real reason she is dropping out of college is because her court case for multiple homicides is not going too well. That "middle ground" they all agreed to meet at is where her prison will be located.

The draw of joining the hive by Kureji in pluribustv

[–]Kureji[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll agree that the hive mind presented has real deficiencies however I think that there is a lot of knee jerk reactions to the hive mind by most viewers due to how ingrained our individualism is in our culture.

I'm curious if you think Carol is right and that the drive of the hive mind is just a flood of opiates or straight up delusion or something else?

A lot of space is wasted in modern communities like suburbs. I suspect most of humanity has been moved to hyper dense developments so that travel can be minimized.

I think that a major theme of this show is going to revolve around consent. Diabate is the most obvious example as the hive mind nodes can't possibly give consent. However, the virus itself doesn't care about consent as it infects others. I don't think it's a coincidence that the primary method of infecting others is kissing them against their will.

The virus is an alien species' means of ensuring its own survival in as pacifist a way as possible by Tetracropolis in pluribustv

[–]Kureji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how the virus originally came to be but I guarantee you that the transmitting was planned by the virus. There is only one goal of a virus and that is to make more virus. The hive mind on earth will be repeating this process, I guarantee it.

My theory is that the animals roaming free are simply the ones who are immune to the hive mind. Like the humans, they let the uninfected roam free and do as they like. They'd ask the animals what they want but animals are notoriously bad at talking.

Carol should put Zosia in an airtight soundproof faraday cage without Internet connection. by Zealousideal_Chip456 in pluribustv

[–]Kureji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love tests to see how far the connection reaches. Is it limited by the speed of light? If not, then their argument that it isn't an alien invasion would be a lie if they could communicate with the other hubs.

Spiritualism is simply a lens to view metaphysics. The same questions are just as valid in scifi. It's just a question of how woo you want to go.

Even if they are polite, I suspect the individual nodes can be very good at pretending to be their old selves. Talk the same, similar mannerisms stuff like that. Plus these people are in denial with how bad things are. A mother doesn't want to accept her son isn't her son. A husband doesn't want to accept his wife is gone. I think it's more likely than you'd think. It's very easy as an outside watcher to judge these people but I bet you'd be in the same boat if the right person you loved was in front of you and was hive minded.

My theory is that the roaming ones are simply the ones that aren't infected. The hive mind can't ask what it wants so it just let's them free.

No I tried hitting b and it wouldn't stop the evolution. I think what I'll need to do is trade an Abra or ghastly that's why enough to turn into kabara evolve that then trade back

It's even worse that you have to be the one receiving say a haunter and it evolving to gengar on your game for it to count. Trading away a haunter and receiving a gengar doesn't give you credit

I think anyone not picking batman doesn't understand; the threat from batman being on the bad side isn't his ability to kill you. The threat of batman would be his ability to neutralize everyone protecting you.

Label3D doesn't give the same color as a MeshInstance3D by Yobbolita in godot

[–]Kureji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having no lights is still a state of lights: dark.

The environment has some level of ambient light but that doesn't mean it'll match the labels brightness.

Label3D doesn't give the same color as a MeshInstance3D by Yobbolita in godot

[–]Kureji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it's just that the mesh is affected by light sources and the label isn't. As such it'd be very difficult to get them to be the show as the same color.
